A little bit of work and a whole lot of play!
Designed to help keep your child's bedroom or playroom clutter-free, our Tidy Toy cabinet features two full-width drawers both containing two plastic storage tubs. The drawer frames are made from sturdy solid wood and the storage tubs can be easily removed to make it easier for toys to be put back neatly.
The playroom is complete! It’s hard to believe it took us over a year from start to finish, but what a year it’s been! I’m sure we can all say that. You can see the progression here. This was intended as the kids’ space when we moved in. But as my love of gardening and plants increased, and their need for toy space decreased, this has become a multi-functional room filled with lots of uses and tons of light. The lower sunroom is approximately 15×30′. Sometimes long and narrow spaces can be challenging, but I always see them as an opportunity to break things up and create zones. With furniture and rugs we have managed to create a garden area, a project area, a lounging area, and storage for everything from electronics to extra decor, linens to games and puzzles. This project was all about functionality and comfortability, combined with texture and a desert influence. We were initially inspired by how the architecture of this home was immersed in the nature - the home was mostly remodeled prior to bringing us on - but there were changing a needed from a functional standpoint for this family and they wanted the furnishings to really feel like ‘them’. We custom designed many pieces specifically for this home and our client we - the playroom cabinetry, powder bath cabinet, play room art, dining table and more.
