Hello Friends Raksha Bandhan means celebrating the unique bond between a brother and a sister... Rakhi is a sacred thread of protection embellished with the love and affection of a sister for her brother. This day of celebration is known as Raksha Bandhan and celebrated on the full moon day of the Hindu month of Shravana in India. It falls on 26th August this year.I have a great connection with my brothers and the celebration of this day is no less festive occasion for me. Hence I gear up a month before to prepare for this event. I even have a group of friends who live abroad and want me to send rakhis for their brothers in India and I take up to do that for them as well. Here are different cards on the same theme I created this year Card 1 - I have used white smooth card stock from letzcraft to create this card. For this card I have used sentiments from Mudra craft stamps Rakhi stamp set to create the background . I have used distress ink and stencil background first on one side and repetitive sentiment stamping technique on the other . I have tried to blend 2 different techniques to create the background for this card. The center is divided using a washi tape. The card is layered finally with mudra chipzebs and sticker sentiment as a highlight . Card 2 I have used a brown card stock as the base of this card. I have layered it with a pattern paper in blue. I have kept this creation simple with ample sticker layering. This goes out for my Bike loving brother and all the sentiment and stickers are from Itsy Bitsy. Card 3 This is a simple single layer card with direct stamping on smooth white cardstock. I have used Mudra craft stamps Rakhi stamp set to create the scene in this card. Over the corner I have layered the washi tapes in 2 different colours to complete my creation. Card 4 - I have used distress ink and stencil background for one corner of the card and divided it with the card with an washi tape. The card stock is yet again from Letzcraft and the sentiment stamp set is from craftyscrappers. The inside of the card also I have stamped and I have used my all time favourite Mama Elephant In My Heart stamp set here. Card 5 This is a simple single layer card with direct stamping on smooth white cardstock. I have used Mudra craft stamps Rakhi stamp set to create the scene in this card. Card 6 This is a simple single layer card with direct stamping on smooth white card stock. I have used Mudra craft stamps Rakhi stamp set to create the scene in this card. Card 7 I have used distress ink and stencil background for one corner of the card and divided it with the card with an washi tape. The card stock is yet again from Letzcraft and the sentiment stamp set is from craftyscrappers. I have punched 2 holes and added the rakhi on the front of the card to give it a different look from the earlier creation. Card 8 This is a simple single layer card with direct stamping on smooth white cardstock. I have used Mudra craft stamps Rakhi stamp set to create the scene in this card. Over the corner I have layered the washi tape to complete my creation. Tried the same scene and stamp set in 3 different combinations and love how each one turned out ! card 9 Card 10 I'm totally in love with the rakshabandhan stamps from Mudra craft stamps this season and I couldn't resist but make a pack of these lovely cards.
