/ / The new play stove inspired us to do some baking, and we are really happy with the results! We used traditional salt dough and painted the baked goods with acrylic paints. For decoration we used sesame seeds, poppy seeds, sprinkles and salt. Just add a thick layer of glue on the painted pieces and add the seeds etc. You can also add a new layer of glue on the decorations to make them more durable. The glue also gives a nice gloss, or for extra shine you can use craft varnish. Salt Dough 1 cup flour 1/2 cup salt 1/2 cup water Let the pieces harden in the oven at 120 celsius degrees (250 Fahrenheit) for at least two hours. Turn over a few times during the baking. Paint and decorate after they've cooled down.
