The Abbey sandstone tiles display soft putty tones, with a time worn finish that creates a smooth textured surface complimented with aged worn edges. This natural stone offers white through to ivory and beige hues, with a soft flowing movement and intricate details, with occasional copper flecks. These beautiful tiles are a dense and hardwearing option, perfect for internal and external applications. Please note, these tiles are uncalibrated and a slight variation of thickness between tiles is to be expected. Tiles should be graded prior to installation to achieve the best finish. A beautiful sandstone from the forest of Dalarna. It was created about 370 million years ago in connection with a meteorite crashing in the area around Orsa. The iron particles of the meteorite have given the sandstone its warm red tone. We call it nature's own terracotta. It is smooth but with a fine-grained feeling. It fits just as well in a country kitchen or hall, as in a greenhouse or on a terrace. We have chosen to classic formats. 20x20 cm and 7.5x30 cm for laying in herringbone pattern.
