One of our most popular fireplace designs, our Bolection fireplace looks fantastic in Bath or Cotswold stone and will suit a wide range of interior styles. All of our fireplaces are carved from solid English limestone. This listing is for our Bolection surround carved from Bath stone. Bath stone has a finely grained consistency and is a creamy white colour with occasional grey shell. The stone, formed 150 million years ago under a shallow, tropical sea that covered Bath and the Cotswold's, is made from tiny fossilised crustaceans. They can appear as fossils in the stone, along with quartz veins. These features are beautiful and make each fireplace unique. This listing is for our standard sized Bolection surround, carved in Bath stone, with an opening of 800mm H x 800mm W. Every fireplace is made to measure, so if you require a different size, please do send us a message and we are happy to send over a drawing and a quote. Hearths and chambers are available separately. This listing is for the fireplace surround only. We recommend that fitting is carried out by either a stonemason or a builder. The fireplaces are extremely heavy and should not be fitted without any experience. Fireplaces will be supplied with instructions, mortar and fixings. We do offer a fitting service. If you require fitting, please contact us before purchasing for a quote. We will be in touch to arrange delivery and fitting at a convenient time for you. Fitting does not include removal of an existing fireplace. We try to deliver every fireplace ourselves to ensure they arrive safely. In the few instances that this is not possible, the fireplace will be delivered on a pallet by a haulage company. All delivery is free and included in your purchase. Are these ever installed with firebrick as well? How does the metal in the combustion chamber stand up to prolonged use? Answer- The firebox is made in cast iron, only the facade frame is in steel. The construction in cast iron is so efficient that does not need any firebricks inside. Only steel fireboxes have firebricks inside (our ranges ECO 70 - ECO iLine - LINEA).Question- Do I have to use the Bench and wood storage?Answer- You can get this Ariana and not have the bench, or use the bench for something else.
