Hi Loves! I hope your week is going well so far, mine has been crazy busy and packed as per usual but that's okay I wouldn't have it any other way. I'm excited to be actually sitting down and writing this post for you all on Smith Rock. Last month for my 3 year anniversary with my boyfriend we drove out to Bend, Oregon and stayed overnight in downtown Bend and the next day we headed out to this national landmark to explore and discover what Smith Rock has to offer which was an abundance of beauty and terrific scenery. As you can see from the images above that it was such a beautiful place to visit. Grant and I hiked around for almost two to three hours before we got back on the road heading back to Portland. From visiting this magical spot I learned a few things however from this quick day hike like the fact that I need to get hiking shoes and better workout/hiking clothes for starters. Here's a quick guide to Smith Rock from my point of view: THINGS TO BRING ON YOUR HIKE TO SMITH ROCK: 1. Water bottle filled and ready to drink 2. Sunscreen, a backpack or fanny pack, a hat, and sunglasses 3. Hiking shoes or comfortable tennis shoes (I wore leather boots and got blisters so learn from my mistakes) 4. Snacks like a trail mix bar or some fruit 5. A compass or aka your phone which has all that built into it. 6. Your dog if you have one (Tons of people were hiking around with their dogs on leashes) 7. A Parking permit for your car 8. An open mind and curiosity to explore That pretty much wraps this little blog post up, I'll be passing through Bend again in a few weeks on my road trip I'm doing with my boyfriend in two weeks, so be sure to stay tuned on that as well. Enjoy the nice weather everyone and get outside to explore! XOXO Jordan
