Hello from snow covered NJ. The storm hit us pretty hard (we got about 18 inches), but we didn't get quite as much snow as locations to the south of us. Our boys were happy to report that it was a light snow, which made their shoveling jobs easier. Our younger boys shovel for neighbors and our oldest works for a friend of ours who plows. He shoveled snow all through the night and then some - hard work, but good money. Me? I stayed warm by the fire and read Chris Bohjalian's new novel, "The Guest Room" (a great read). Today, I thought I would share some snow pictures and dog pictures since those both seem to be the headlines around our house. Keeper and Dax both love the snow. No surprise there, right? Just after the holidays, we spotted a toboggan on clearance at Marshalls. It had a plaid cushion cover, looked like it had potential to become a family heirloom and was half price so we just had to buy it. We couldn't wait to try it when we went upstate. Sledding is still fun no matter your age! Back at home, Dax has been a huge help in loading the dishwasher after dinner each night. As have the local police. Haha. Because we live in the town that Billy works in, he is able to stop home for his dinner break. The dogs also like to supervise from under the table when I cook dinner. Keeper has adjusted beautifully to being a big sister. This picture is from a couple of weeks back, before snow. Dax has already grown so much! Thank you for indulging my dog obsession. Signed, that crazy dog lady. My next post will be related to home decor, pinky promise!
