I adore Alphonse Mucha, he is for me unquestionably the best artist to come from the 17th century. I have a passion for Art nouveau. Curvy, sensual and lends itself in my eyes, so well to stained glass. I hope I have done his work justice in this fire screen. With his work as the central piece I have added to it, inspired by the original panel to create a 3 panel, folding fire screen. With its own bespoke, hand crafted and hinged steel frame. This work has much detail in it. Using kiln fired paint work, copper foiling within the leaded panel and sandblasted detailing. I Would be very happy to make more of these fire screens as I thoroughly enjoyed working on this piece.
