Recently I took a weeknight adventure in the UP to Hall Farms to see their sunflower field… which is the most magical sunflower field I’ve ever seen. I went last year, but it was just past peak, so I knew this year… I needed to pounce as soon as I heard it was ready. I made it just in time for that

Sop seeds for happy gardens. Sunflowers are remarkably hardy and easy to grow. It's a joy to watch them turn their heads as they follow the movement of the sun across the sky. Their bright yellow blooms make great cut flowers and they're also attractive to bees and birds. Illustration by local Norwich, Norfolk artist, Ruth Howes. Printed on recycled paper. Wildflower seeds also available. Sop ~ Scents of place is inspired by the Norfolk landscape and language.

We finally got out from four days of tropical storm Lowell as sunset approached last night and I got a special photo gift -- a rainbow to go with the sunflowers....Yeah! This was a tricky one because of the Home Depot store and other stuff to the east of the park. I had to get down low to get rid of the buildings and then hide a power pole behind each tree.
