This listing is for the wool bundle for the BAWI sweater to knit yourself. Bawi is the ultimate oversized sweater in a lovely thick aran tweed yarn, making it the perfect transitional sweater. Use it as you would a jacket over other knitwear or as a perfect statement piece in your wardrobe. The sweater is worked top-down, with increases along the shoulder, and the front and back pieces are worked along the sleeve hole one at a time. The sweater is worked inside out to avoid working in mostly purl stitches. We have prepared wool bundles for this gorgeous sweater in the two original colors and you can find the pattern in English at the designers website. Photo credits: Aegyo Knit

It’s fall in the city and all I can think is cozy sweaters and chunky knits. It’s the perfect fall piece to keep you warm outside and indoors. Love pairing them so much because it’s so fun to style different colors and prints and they always add so much texture to an outfit. I’ve been looking for sweaters all over and my favorite and best bet is to get a chunky men’s sweater.
Knitting kit for October sweater from PetiteKnit October Sweater is a wonderful, cozy sweater with a relaxed and oversize fit. It has wide ribbed edges in both sleeves and body, and a slit in the sides provides an extra good fit.Note that the sweater shown in the pictures is knitted in a different yarn than in this kit. Here we knit October Sweater in Önling No 1, 75% Merino Superfine Super 100’s Wool and 25% angora, which makes for an even softer sweater than in original yarns. If you would rather knit in original yarns, you can find the kit here. The knitting kit contains: Önling No 1 yarn corresponding to the selected size and a printed patternChoose size and color for your yarn kit above.Designed by PetiteKnitSizes: XS (S) M (L) XL (2XL) 3XL (4XL) 5XLBust circumference: 116 (120) 126 (130) 139 (149) 158 (168) 177 cm [45¾ (47¼) 49½ (51¼) 54¾ (58¾) 62¼ (66¼) 69¾ inches]Length: 69 (70) 71 (72) 73 (74) 75 (76) 77 cm [27¼ (27½) 28 (28¼) 28¾ (29¼) 29½ (30) 30¼ inches] measured mid back incl. neck edgeSize guide: The October Sweater is designed to have approx. 30 cm [11¼ inches] of positive ease, meaning it is designed to be approx. 30 cm [11¼ inches] larger in circumference than your bust measurement. The fit is oversize. Before beginning your project, measure yourself to determine which size to knit. For example, if you measure 90 cm [35½ inches] around your bust (or around the widest part of your upper body) you should knit a size S. A size S sweater has a finished circumference of 120 cm [47¼ inches] which in the given example would give you 30 cm [11¼ inches] of positive ease. The model in the photos is wearing a size XS and has a bust circumference of 82 cm [32¼ inches] and is 164 cm [approx. 5 feet 4 inches] tall.Gauge: 21 sts x 28 rows = 10 x 10 cm [4 x 4 inches] in stockinette stitch on 4 mm [US6] needles, or the required needle size to obtain gaugeNeedles: Circular needles: 3 mm [US2½] / 40 cm [16 inches], 3.5 mm [US4] and 4 mm [US6] / 40, 60, 80 and/or 100 cm [16, 24, 32 and/or 40 inches]Double-pointed needles: 3.5 mm [US4] and 4 mm [US6]Materials: 450 (500) 500 (500) 550 (600) 700 (750) 750 g Önling No 1, 75% Merino Superfine Super 100’s wool and 25% Angora. 50 g = approximately 197 yards (180 meters). You knit with one thread throughoutProcedure: The October Sweater is worked from the top down in stockinette stitch. The first section of the yoke is worked back and forth (flat) to shape the neckline, then the work is joined in the round and the rest of the yoke is worked in the round on circular needles and shaped with raglan increases. The sleeves and body are finished with a wide 2 x 2 rib edge. The rib edge at the neckline is worked from picked-up stitches at the end and folded double. The October Sweater has an oversize fit – knit a size smaller than recommended if you would like a less oversize sweater. Please Note: The price of the yarn kit is calculated based on the amount of yarn included, which is the amount we have used to knit the design according to the above measurements. Should you need more yarn, additional yarn can be purchased at regular prices by placing an order and state LOT number in the comment box at checkout. All designs have been thoroughly calculated and tested.
