Thanksgiving Greeting Cards
So I left you with this teaser yesterday - HERE And this is the card we made with that pallet. I took the leaf from the Limited Time "Thoughtful Branches" set - and first, using the pad above we stamp several leaves on the base. Then we used the speckles from "Gorgeous Grunge" and the pad above to add some pretty splatters to the base. Stamped the verse from "Thoughtful Branches" in Pumpkin Pie ink. We then stamped several leaves and cut them out along with the other open weave leaves from the set. To complete we tied some of SU's linen thread around the card and finished it with a bow. We curled the leaves around a marker to give them some dimension, then added them to the card with glue dots, one at a time - making them cascade down. I really love how this card turned out. The final accent was the little pearls that were colored with an orange sharpie. That left me with the baby wipe below - so pretty! So I let it dry and cut out a bunch more of the leaves - now lets see if I can come up with a card for them. See y'all soon - so happy to be making FALL items - my favorite time of the year!! ~Maureen Click on any image below to go right to my online store - Thoughtful Branches Photopolymer Bundle $52.00 Gorgeous Grunge Clear-Mount Stamp Set $18.00 Tip Top Taupe Classic Stampin' Ink Refill $3.25 Daffodil Delight Classic Stampin' Ink Refill $3.25 Pumpkin Pie Classic Stampin' Ink Refill $3.25 Pumpkin Pie 8-1/2" X 11" Cardstock $8.00 Whisper White 8-1/2" X 11" Cardstock $9.00 Very Vanilla 8-1/2" X 11" Cardstock $9.00 Pumpkin Pie Classic Stampin' Pad $6.50 Tip Top Taupe 8-1/2" X 11" Cardstock $8.00 Pearl Basic Jewels $5.00 Linen Thread $4.50 Big Shot $110.00

I've gotten a request to share how this card was made. I'm not sure where the idea for this folded card came from...it's pretty safe to say I didn't come up with it on my own. Here's my take on a triple fold card and a really rough tutorial on how I made this one - I cut a piece of cardstock 12" x 5 3/4". I leave a bit extra in width so I can even up the edges after folding. The finished card should be 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" but you could adjust and make it taller if you wish. I used a scoreboard to score at 4 1/4", 7 1/4" and 10 1/4". I folded the first score(4 1/4") into a valley fold using a bone folder to burnish. Then I folded the second score (7 1/4") into a mountain fold and again burnished with a bone folder. The last score line (10 1/4") was made into a valley fold and burnished. It looks like this from the side and this from the top. At this point I would trim the card base to assure the ends are even and the height is as I intended. Once that has been established I cut the design paper 1/8" smaller and adhered it to the card base. For this card, I chose 3 different design papers and cut them into pieces 5 3/8" x 4 1/8", 5 3/8" x 2 7/8" and 5 3/8" x 1 3/8" I adhered the two larger pieces to this side... flipped it over and adhered the smallest piece to the other side and then folded it all together as shown in the very first picture. Last of all I cut a piece of cardstock 1" x 10", scored it at 4 14" and at 8 5/8", wrapped it around the card and glued down after cutting a wide V and adding some gold cardstock beneath. Slip this over your card and you're done! Easy peasy, right? Hopefully this is helpful. I realize it's very rough, keep in mind it's my first tutorial and I need to learn from this. If you have questions or suggestions, please leave in the comments and I will try to answer them.
