I’m sharing some tips today about how to transition from tile to sheetrock or finish your shower tile edges for a professional look. There are a variety of ways to do this, but these are my go-to details, so you’re going to want to save this post for your next bathroom remodel.

The Genesis Matt Silver Straight Edge Tile Trim has been designed to protect the corners and edging of your tiled surface. The 'L' shaped profile is made from extruded aluminium, and can also protect other hard finishes used in your wall or floor installation. These Trims are available in polished, brushed, stone effect or powder coated aluminium colours. All our Genesis trims are 2.5m long and are available in the following sizes; 6mm, 8mm, 10mm, 12mm and 15mm. Finishing off your project with a tile trim in a corresponding colour not only protects the edges of your work, but gives the entire project a professional look and feel upon completion. Select the Genesis ESA trim required according to tile thickness. Trowel tile adhesive over the area that forms the perimeter of the tiled covering. Press the perforated anchoring leg of the ESA into the tile adhesive and align, mechanical fix if required. Trowel additional adhesive over the perforated anchoring leg to ensure full coverage. Solidly embed the tiles so that the tiled surface is flush with the top of the profile. The profile should not be higher than the tiled surface, but rather up to approximately 1 mm lower. Fill the joint completely with grout. Delivery Options Genesis ESA trims are delivered direct from the manufacturer. Because they comes in 2.5 metre lengths, there is an automatic £15.99 long length standard delivery charge. These trims are then despatched by the manufacturer on a 1 - 2 day service. Please note Click & Collect is not available on these items as they are supplied direct from manufacturer, but a limited range 6mm, 8mm, 10mm, and 12mm deep of the most popular colours is available in our London Tile showrooms.
