SCAPE teamed with ENNEAD Architects to reimagine the exterior 25,000 square foot public plaza surrounding the iconic and historic Hall of Science in Queens, New York. The Hall of Science was built for the 1964 New York World’s Fair in Flushing Meadows- Corona Park. In its original design, the terrace consisted of hardscape with a
MATERIALS AND FINISHES Structure formed by steel profiles with antirust protection and painted in black oxiron. Seat made from solid Iroko wood slats with certification FSC 100% protected with one-coat oil. INSTALLATION AND MAINTENANCE Installation not required, although bore holes are provided if it is required. The bench is delivered disassembled in two parts: structure and slats. Instructions and screws included. No maintenance required, except to preserve the original colour of the wood. Weights 3.00 m without backrest: 302 kg 4.00 m without backrest: 443 kg
