The shot you can get before everyone else gets to the park and scares the wildlife away. I rented the Canon 100-400mm L lens from LensProToGo for an air show, but made an effort to get out early to shoot some wildlife. She noticed me about the same time I noticed her. She would lift her leg up and prepare to leave, but then stopped. I knew my shutter speed was slow at 1/60 of a second but relied on Image Stabilization and high speed drive to capture something sharp.

The red deer are starting to shed their winter coat but this stag was still in good condition. I like the pose that he took up and also the setting amoungst the beautiful Caledonian pine forest.
