If you like wire wrapping, you might also feel frustrated sometime when try to design a new pattern. As you continue wrapping the wire, the previously perfect loop can be distorted easily. Today I want to show you a simple trick to make sure you end up with perfect circles every time! In addition, in this tutorial, i am also going to provide a few ways to embellish those free form loops and turn them into stunning jewelry pieces! 1. A Simple Trick to Make Free Form Wire Loops The keys to make the free form wire loops are to make lots of circles quickly and keep their shapes from distorting. Instead of making the circles one at a time, you can wrap the wire around the mini mandrel multiple times and then flatten them out using a chain nose plier. Here are the step-by-step pictures showing you how to do it. 2. How to Embellish the Free Form Wire Loops To turn those free form loops into the jewelry pieces, you'll need to come up with some design ideas. Here I'll introduce two ways to embellish them. The first with beaded flowers, the second with polymer clay flowers. They all can be purchased in my store. (Yes, even the polymer clay flowers, they are handmade by me.) 2.1 Embellishing with beaded flowers Beaded flowers can be made in many ways. In fact I've written a tutorial to cover this very topic, you can read it here: Jewelry Making Basics 7 -- Three ways to make beaded flower. In this post, I am going to use the glass bicone beads to assemble a simple flower. You can then wrap the two ends of the flower to the free form loops we just made. To make the piece even more beautiful, you can hang a matching color briolette at the end. 2.2 Embellishing with polymer clay flowers I always think polymer clay flowers are a perfect match to the wired loops and swirls. They both have a romantic feel and look in harmony. In order to attach the polymer clay flowers to the free form loops, you'll need to first attach the flower to a metal connector. Hi my crafting friends, today I want to share with you a wire wrapped earring DIY project. You will learn how to make consecutive loops using two paralleled wires, as well as how to use them to embellish the pearl. It is a simple but clever design, perfect for summer wedding or beach vacations. Now let's get started! Material Needed 50cm 28 gauge kc gold soft copper wire 60cm 22 gauge kc gold soft copper wire Ten 3mm pearl beads Two 12mm coin pearl beads Step 1. Creative Loops Using Two Wires There are a lot of fun techniques relating to wire wrapping, making consecutive loops is definitely one of them. On top of it, I used two wires for those loops for a unique look. Please note those loops need to be made by hands, not looping pliers. It will be difficult for the looping plier to hold two wires at the same time and keep them parallel. After adding the coin pearl, remember to cut one wire off. We only need one wire for the large hoop on top of the pearl. Step 2. The Large Hoop And Embellishments The great part of this design is you can create the whole earring using only one piece of wire. After embellishing the coin pearls, we can use the rest of the wire to create the large hoop on top. To match the small consecutive loops at the bottom, the hoop is also made of two parallel wires. The two wires then can be weaved together using the 28-gauge soft wire, as well as some cute small pearls. Once the the hoop is finished, simply add an ear wire on top and our beautiful earring has been completed! You can learn how to make five different types of ear wire in this post. In this wire-wrapping tutorial, I will show you how to wire-wrap a stone without holes with just wire, no soldering!

This distinctive little pendant features a circular flat-backed white Howlite cabochon, which I have wrapped with copper wire. One wire loops around the stone, extending above & forming a simple bail. Identical hammered spirals of wire then sit in front & behind of the stone, woven together at the bottom, & then looping up to wrap around the frame. White Howlite is a bright white stone with grey marbling, & it looks fab with the antiqued copper. The finished pendant has been oxidised & then polished to a lovely shine. It comes with a 2mm thick waxed black cotton cord, complete with handmade fastenings. The cord length is approx. 40cm but I can supply a different length if required - please let me know your preferred length via the 'choose options' button. This is an elegant ocean blue natural large Larimar pendant necklace. It has been hand wrapped using pure copper wire which has been antiqued and polished to achieve a gorgeous rustic look with a unique design. This Larimar necklace makes for a unique Christmas gift for a loved one or for yourself. Larimar is also known as the Atlantis stone and is becoming more and more rare as it is only found in the Dominican Republic. This pendant measures slightly over 2 inches tall from the bottom of the pendant to the top of the bail. Pendant comes with a complimentary antique red copper plated chain of your choice. Chain is removable and interchangeable.
