You will receive a blank kit in which you get to decide how to finish. Customize your Mosaic with your own choice of colors. We have some color options for you to choose from. You can also use your own paint or stain you have at home or buy some little bottles from the craft section of your local store. The Mosaic is cut out like a puzzle. First you will attach the frame to the backer board and the rest of pieces will nestle inside. All pieces are cut from birch wood and they can be painted or stained. All pieces have adhesive on the back so no need for glue! The pieces are all on transfer paper so no need to guess where the pieces go! In the case they do get jumbled up, the backerboard has the design engraved so you can easily see where all the pieces belong. Kit includes stand for displaying purposes. Hanging hardware not included. Design is approx 10.5 x 18.5 inches
