These Double Z Fold cards are so fun. I made one a Father’s Day Card with the Trusty Tool Box paper and the other is so pretty with the Softly Stippled paper.

Hello and welcome to my blog! Today I'm hopping with a talented group of demonstrators from around the world. Our challenge today it to select any vertical, horizontal, or diagonal line in the tic tac toe board below. I'm going with the middle vertical line and using Wild Wheat and gold as my yellow and a new-to-me fun fold. I have a free tutorial download for you below and also a video on my YouTube Channel showing the construction of this card from start to finish. Here is the front of my card. Here is a top view of the fold. The base is 11" x 4 1/4" and is scored at 2 1/8", 4 1/4", and 5 1/2". This view is the card folded up to go into the envelope. The front center designer piece of paper (3 1/4" x 4") is from the Most Adored specialty Designer Series Paper and is backed with a 3 1/2" x 4 1/4" piece of Wild Wheat. The paper on the side sections is from Nature's Sweetness Designer Series Specialty pack. (4" x 1 1/8") The gold foil was cut and embossed with the awesome Thoughtful Moments 3D Embossing Folder that cuts and embosses all at the same time. The gold flowers were cut with a die from Lifetime of Love. I stamped this sentiment on the inside in Wild Wheat, but this card would also be a great anniversary or wedding card. I love making a Z-Fold Flap card; it's a unique fold but still simple to make. Follow these instructions and the video to complete your card.
Hello friends, This is a beautiful card using the Very Vintage stamp set (#c146801, #w146798). Most of my cards recently have had very little stamping, so this one has a bit more. This was a card I did for a class, so was easy to set up each of the stamps on the Stamparatus (#148187). The Merry Merlot base card (#147005) was cut 15cm x 29.8cm (the length of the A4 card). The strip at the bottom of the card is 4cm wide and the same length as the card. The 2 pieces of card are scored at 7.5cm and 15cm. I stamped on the Very Vanilla card (#106550) using Merry Merlot ink (#147112). The flowers, doily, Happy Birthday and floral border are all from the Very Vintage stamp set. Enjoy Your Special Day is from the Stitched All Around stamp set (#c146632, #w146629). Sending Love & Hugs to You is from the Ribbon Of Courage stamp set (#c143855, #w143852). A die from the All The Presents thinlits Dies (#147917) was used to cut the bow, and the bird was cut with the Birds & Blooms Thinlits (#141477). I used the Copper Foil Sheets (#142020) for both. The bow was attached with Mini Dimensionals (#104430) and I used the Multipurpose Adhesive Sheet (#144106) for the bird. I made an envelope to fit the card using the Envelope Punch Board (#133774). This tool makes it a breeze to make an envelope, with up to 66 sizes to choose from for a perfect fit. Have a great day. www.lesleyjendra.stampinup.net [email protected]

Hello Crafty Friends, Hope you are having a fabulous day. I am super excited to share today's post, as the card I have created is for the Just Add Ink Challenge Blog, as a Guest Designer!!! To say I was ecstatic when asked to join the Design Team for August & September is an understatement. I danced around the lounge, then quickly questioned if there had been some kind of mistake, and I had received the invitation in error.?!? Could this be right?!? You see, the Design Team are a phenomenal group of creators, chokka block full with many of my Stampin'Up! Idols. I am one of five Guest Designers, joined by the extremely talented Lou Kitzleman, Jo Stubbings, Rachael Lewsley and Denita Wright-Smee. This weeks challenge at Just Add Ink is "Just Choose Two". I chose Pets and Patterned Paper. Admittedly I am not a big user of DSP, and thought this was definitely going to be a challenge for me. I didn't struggle as much as I thought I would as soon as I decided to use dotti paper. In fact, I ended up creating two cards and couldn't decide which one to submit! I procrastinated for over a week, finally deciding on the Double Z Fold Card. The staircase card was inspired by Amanda Bates - The Craft Spa. Amanda's work is ah-mazing! Check out Amanda's card that provided my inspiration here. I have used images from the following stamp sets - Pretty Kitty, Bookcase Builder, Bella & Friends (birds), Glamper Greetings (string of party lights) and Happy Birthday Gorgeous (party hats). Both sentiments stamps are from the Birthday Delivery stamp set. All images were stamped in Archival Black and coloured using Stampin'Up! Water Colour Pencils. Some retired DSP was used for the wallpaper and to provide the view looking out the window. I also used a teeny bit for the backing of the picture framed Antlers. I had to put lights on the Antlers! All images were fussy cut except the window and shelf which were Die cut using the Hearth & Home Thinlits. Some fine tip glue was added to the party hats and parrot on the shelf, and a few rhinestones to the flowers in the pot and the all the Kitty's collars. This is the card completely open and flat And this is how it looks folded up ready to post. Check out the Just Add Ink challenge blog to see all the amazing cards the Design Team have created. Why not join us by playing along with the challenge, its super easy, helps gets the creative juices flowing and you may even meet some lovely crafters out there in the blogisphere - I have and continue to do so everyday! Until next time, stay crafty

Time flys when you are having fun..... or when you injure yourself and need lots of rest to recuperate. My back had a nasty run in with a sock, then a mini pizza and then a piece of paper! Long story short, I haven't been able to sit for any great length of time for the past few weeks, so crafting, blogging and keeping up with Facebook and emails has been a challenge to say the least, I am starting to catch up, but still have a way to go! I have had a number of requests regarding the measurements/dimensions of the Lift me up Z-Fold card I created on 20th February - so here you go! In Australia our A4 cardstock measures 21.0 cm x 29.7 cm, I designed the template so that I can make 2 cards with 1 piece of A4 cardstock, and the card will fit in a standard size envelope too! Here is the order in which I applied the above measurements to make the card base: measure up 6.5 cm from bottom left corner, make a small mark measure down 6.5 cm from top right corner, make a small mark line up marks on your trimmer at top and bottom of the card stock and cut. Your A4 sheet is cut diagonally and you have 2 z-fold card bases :) on the flat edge of the cardstock (not the diagonal cut edge) score at 9.9 cm and again at 19.8 cm fold along the score lines and burnish with bone folder there you have it, you are all ready to decorate your z-fold card UPDATE - IMPERIAL MEASUREMENTS ARE NOW AVAILABLE - CLICK HERE Cards I have made using these dimensions: Thanks for visiting today, I hope this template helps you create a z-fold card. I would love to update you when I create a post! If you would like to receive an email from me when I do Click Here. When I saw this week's Make it Monday Challenge: Z-Fold Cards, my first thought was "Nope! No way! Not gonna happen!" Then I remembered my sweet mama has a rather BIG birthday coming up tomorrow and I wanted to make her an extra special card! So, here is my z-fold card! I'm sure I don't have an envelope this size but I love the card so much that it doesn't matter!! I used PTI's Paper Clippings: Happy Birthday stamp set and dies, and the colors I used are PTI Harvest Gold, Blueberry Sky, & Spring Rain; Tim Holtz Faded Jeans; and SU! Daffodil Delight. Mom and I both love yellow, blue, and white, so I had several coordinating pieces of designer paper that worked perfectly with the die cuts. I can't wait to give her her card tomorrow. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!
