PTFE coated fiberglass and single-layer ETFE were used to create a structural roof that, while over 80,000 square feet in size, has an appearance of weightlessness.
We helped create a tensile mesh facade supported by a lightweight aluminum structure and steel standoffs that reduces solar gain and interior glare.
Our design team worked from the architect’s original concept to develop an affordable PTFE fiberglass structure that met the original design intent.
We worked with the architecture firm to develop cladding screens made of Type 3A Ventilated PVDF Mesh, a rigid and durable material that is highly translucent.

The facade features a 3D shape that emerges from the building face to help support a design vision of projecting stability and strength.

FlexFacades by Structurflex developed a multi-faceted, cost-effective solution centered around tensile mesh materials that boast a 50% ventilation rate.
The coated PES tensile membrane shade canopy at Indian Wells Tennis Garden near Palm Springs, California protects viewers from the desert heat and perpetual sun. It's also lightweight and low-impact on the site.
