I had so much fun making this card...I followed the directions on the SU demonstrator website. (Free PDF of these instructions in my newsletter...sign up on the right of my blog) I just loved the progression of the card with each step....I especially like how the gold stickers add so much extra beauty....I never used stickers on my cards before. Welcome to another Crazy Crafters Blog Hop. We're so excited to share our projects and we're certain that you will find great tips and inspiration from all our creations. The full lineup below will help you move along the hop, so grab a cuppa and enjoy! This week we are sharing items we purchased from our PPP's! Those that attended Onstage Local in Sydney early in April were able to place an early early order (Product Purchase Premier) from the new Annual Catalogue. I ordered loads of goodies but my favourites are always the new In Colours! Yippee love introducing new colours and these are so fresh and lovely. They look great together and combined with other SU colours too. I can't wait to share more products with these colours. Be sure to check out how I have gift packaged todays project in a Double Gift Bag! Today I've made x10 cards, x2 in each In Colour using the new Fresh Florals Designer Series Paper Stack. Recognise the pattern? Some patterns from retiring Night of Navy DSP 'Floral Boutique' have been carried over and it coordinates beautifully with the 'Floral Phrases' stamp set which has carried over too! A 12x12" pack of 40 sheets - this stack is so worth it! The stamped sentiments and blossoms on the envelopes are from this new stamp set - 'Colorful Seasons' which you can Bundle with coordinating dies for 10% off rpp. You need this set, the fonts are gorgeous and look at that deck chair! Alright let the introductions begin..... Firstly welcome to Tranquil Tide - a transient colour. Depending on what you combine it with it may look green or blue Powder Pink - a soft and delicate colour. How gorgeous is this designer paper? Berry Burst - FULL on colour, this would look great as a lipstick! Fresh Fig - a lovely warm purple shade with a hint of brown/neutral tones Lemon Lime Twist - Saving the best for last MY NEW FAV!! Welcome to the Be Inspired Design Team Blog Hop. You may have just arrived here from my beautiful friend Sarah Berry from the UK. If you are starting here please make sure you hit the next button at the bottom of this post and hop all the way around. The theme for this hop is 'Your Favourite Stamp Set'. Well with SOOOO MANY new favourites in the catalogue it was REALLY hard to cut it down to just one. However in my box of goodies that arrived this week, I would have to say that the Floral Statements was a stand out for me. It's simple and feminine and also bold and elegant. Ink it up, stamp, give it some colour and you've got a gorgeous card. The stamp does all the work! I will admit that the black does look a little wishy-washy, however I actually like it. I suggest using a Stamp-a-ma-jig to make the black more vivid. First I stamped the image using Archival Black Ink onto Shimmery White and used my trusty Aqua Painter to colour in the flowers and simply mounted onto some Crumb Cake Cardstock and then some Flirty Flamingo Cardstock. I am really happy with this stamp set and I will definately be using it again soon! With the new 2017-2018 Annual catalogue coming soon, I thought I would give you a preview of the some of the NEW products and colors that will be coming June 1st! There is so much goodness in the new catalogue, I wish I could show you the whole thing. The first thing I wanted to show you are the new 2017-2019 In Colors. In fact, my updated blog signature at the end of this post features some of these colors! ;) Stampin' Up 2017-2019 In Color Collection I am in LOVE with the new Berry Burst color- that one is my favorite, but I think the other In Colors: Powder Pink, Fresh Fig, Lemon Lime Twist and Tranquil Tide will be really fun colors to play with! Love how bright and cheerful these colors are! Looking at both In Color Collections together I think it's really going to be fun to use a mix of all the colors together. We received some products as gifts, I used some of the products for some awesome make-and-takes (look out for these) and as an OnStage attendee, I have already placed an order for products from this catalogue. But, I have some absolutely AWESOME information in todays post - I am going to share with you some information about the BRAND NEW 2017/2018 Annual Catalogue. Wanna see what it looks like? Do you want to see the cover up close? Unfortunately - thats all of the actual catalogue I can share with you until June 1, 2017. Bummer, hey? Do you want to see and order from the catalogue earlier than that? As in today? Join my team and you can see it and order the Eastern Palace Suite RIGHT AWAY! Did you see the card I made using this suite? In case you didnt, here it is. But, like I said, this is an EPIC post. While I can't share with you images from the catalogue, I can share with you some more information from the recent OnStage Local Event Bruno and I attended on the weekend in Sydney. And, if you read this post, you will see NEW PRODUCTS!!!! LOCATION If you have ever seen a photo of Sydney, you will likely have seen the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Close to the centre of the photo, you can see where OnStage was held - at Luna Park. It was an absolutely STUNNING setting right on Sydney Harbour. The actual event was held in the 'Big Top.' One of the things I love about attending OnStage is the opportunity to meet with fellow demonstrators. Here are some pics of some of my fellow demos. One of the most awesome reveals at OnStage was the Brand New InColours. Here are the RGB Values and Hex codes for these. This is useful for all those demonstrators out there!! They are STUNNING!! Annual Catalogue. I say this ALL the time, but let me tell you - YOU ARE GOING TO LOVE THIS NEW CATALOGUE! It is simply the BEST CATALOGUE EVER! There is something for everybody. And, if you read this post, you will see NEW PRODUCTS!!!! LOCATION If you have ever seen a photo of Sydney, you will likely have seen the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Close to the centre of the photo, you can see where OnStage was held - at Luna Park. It was an absolutely STUNNING setting right on Sydney Harbour. The actual event was held in the 'Big Top.' One of the things I love about attending OnStage is the opportunity to meet with fellow demonstrators. Here are some pics of some of my fellow demos. Hello there, As I am sure you have seen around social media, we had some exciting Stampin' Up! events where we got to see the new 2016/17 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue, and also the new 2016-18 InColours! SO EXCITING! I attended OnStage in Sydney and will have a recap post for you later today. The catalogue is amazing! You've made it! The On Stage display sample blog hop is coming to an end today with this last hop. It was seven stunning days of new Occasions and Sale-a-bration sneak peaks. I can't wait for January to get my hands on more of these Stampin' Up! goodies. Thank you for all the comme
SPOILER ALERT/ SNEAK PEEK of New Product Now I'm not one for publishing new product too far ahead of a new catalogue launch, but this seems different and will be a one off. A while back, I was asked if I would be willing to do a Product Presentation at last weekend's OnStage Live event in Amsterdam, a secret that I've been hiding for a while. I felt so honoured and excited to have been invited, but none more so than when I saw the email of what products I'd be presenting. Goodness me I was a lucky girl. The Suite was just adorable and I couldn't wait for it to arrive to get playing. I studied the papers a while, I researched and got playing and discreetly transported out my creations, managing to keep the entire presentation a secret from my team until we were checking in our suitcases at the airport. I didn't want the girls to think me twitchy, if suddenly I needed to open my case to lessen it's weight or appear overly anxious if my case didn't arrive. On the day of my presentation, I met our lovely CEO, Sara Douglass, just moments before I went live. Eager to sit in on a Presentation, she chose to come and sit in on mine. I was both delighted and nervous all in one. Not just a presentation to our European market, many of whom I look up to, but to our very own VIP Sara Douglass. Thankfully I pulled my presentation off without fault. What a fabulous experience! I had just 10 minutes to present to nearly 200 experienced Demonstrators at a time. As if once wasn't enough, I had to repeat my presentation three times over, with my first presentation being to a Dutch market, fully translated. The Product Suite that I had to work with, was this nostalgic, retro style Birthday Memories suite. Oh my word, I nearly fell off my seat when I saw it. Those papers! That Stamp Set! Could I do it justice? Following my initial excitement, the panic set in. My style doesn't usually involve such bold colours, so how would I be true to myself and come up with something I felt happy to present? ... by presenting a Party in a Box ... Yes, generate a Party. This sheet of paper had to be used in it's entirety to showcase the beautiful scene, so the Party in a Box was a must. The gift box could be used afterwards, but initially housed a stack of Birthday Invites, Cupcake Toppers and Cupcake/Treat bags. I made the decision to couple the set up with the Confetti Celebration Stamp Set to create this Surprise Birthday Invitation. I thought this worked really well. The little flag banners attached to cocktail sticks made great cupcake toppers. I simply embellished a Petite Cafe food safe bag to house the treats or cupcake that the child would go home with. This project lead to something a little more my colour palate. As the colours toned down somewhat, I started to feel more in my comfort zone. Here I created a Box Frame Gift idea for a little boy. Perhaps for a 1st Birthday? I just loved the simplicity of this Box Frame and the Honeycomb Balloons and couldn't resist but couple it with a card that offered such fun. This suite offers Framelits to die cut many of the gorgeous images and characters in the Designer Series Papers, so I die cut the fox and fussy cut the Racoon and Turtle to produce this cute card. I just love the font of this Birthday sentiment. I was feeling happier now that I had started to produce something a little less vibrant, but felt I needed to cover the softer female palate. When I first saw the Pink Papers of this suite, I immediately thought of my Auntie's picture hanging on her wall. It was an Illustration by the Famous British Illustrator, Mabel Lucie Attwell. Researching her work and the era in which she worked, it became clear that large numbers on Birthday cards were very much the norm and that both bold colours, but equally soft muted colours were often seen. This lead me to designing this card ... which soon became my favourite. Isn't she cute?! Stamped onto Crumb Cake cardstock, I then used the super soft Watercolour pencils to add a wash of colour around her and to colour in the balloons. The ribbon from the suite edged the sentiment panel to pull in the colour of the number balloon. Still wanting to produce something femininely pink and girlie, I moved on to designing these two cards. I used the floral bouquet to edge the white cardstock to add a kind of vintage look to the card. Finally the Make & Take that everyone had supplies to make, involved die cutting the fox and his banner, to create this great celebratory card. Can you tell that I absolutely love this suite now and I do believe you will do too. The Tranquil Tide Ink Pad in the new style I was lucky to get at Onstage they are so much easier to use and I am sure the new style of pad will be very popular. Share What You Love Specialty Designer Series Paper is so pretty with its pearl accents - 12 designs with 4 of them having a pretty pearlized finish. Today I have made 4 cards that show off this paper beautifully. I hope you like them. With this one I sacrificed a piece of the DSP and fussy cut the little Old Olive flowers so that I could add them as an embellishment. I also popped on plain pearls even though the Suite features some pretty coloured Artisan Pearls. This card has some of the new Natures Twine that I also scored from Onstage - it comes as a pack with Crumb Cake, Blackberry Bliss, Grapefruit Grove and Mint Macaron twine all in the one pack.
