Handmade miniature kitchen diorama This piece was made completely from scratch. With time and patience I crafted every little thing and detail. Using materials out of my everyday life, like bottle caps, old cardboard or scraps of fabric makes this a even more special artwork. This piece measures about 13x13x13cm. It is not intended to be played with, all items are firmly glued down. If you like you can watch the process on TikTok : @tiny.mimiatures

I made a dormer. The painting on this side is done, just some lead for the roof, the balconies, railing and shutters. Because I have a dormer, there is room for a little guest-room. I also used the beautiful lace that Mercedes give me as curtains, it is just perfect!!
If you've got some dolls in need of some cozy accommodations, you might consider dusting off that old guitar and giving it a new life as a classy dollhouse, like Lorraine Robinson of Fairy Meadow Miniatures did.

Since April 2011, art director and photographer Tatsuya Tanaka’s imagination has built a magnificent number of miniature worlds (previously here and here). Through the artist’s clever lens, everyday activities like construction work, walking the dog, getting a parking ticket, and plowing through a blizzard become delight-inducing scenarios. Tanaka also plays with pop culture references, building staple skyscrapers for Godzilla to prowl. Today I received a wonderful email from Keith Marquis of Marquis Miniatures, and immediately fell in love with their line of artist's studio miniatures. I spent a good part of my morning pouring over the photos he shared with me, admiring the meticulous attention to details. From the tiniest ring of paint left on the sink to the paint-stained rug draped over the box of art supplies ... it truly seems like the workshop of elves who come out at night to paint.
