Art can give us a better understanding of our emotions and the world we live in. Even though some art pieces can be difficult to comprehend, they might provoke one to think and find his or her own meaning. Art is often connected to human emotions. In the process of creating art, artists express what they are concerned or curious about. In this way, they explore their own thoughts and feelings and at the same time encourage the public to engage in the journey of meaning-making.

I got into digital art after my father gave me a 1 megapixel camera back in 2002. I already had spent years painting and drawing and the camera was the perfect tool for endless experimentation. I tried then a scanner and started merging my drawings with my photos because photography was never satisfying to me; my head was always way too up in the clouds to portrait reality, I knew I wanted quiet the contrary, to destroy it and make something new out of it, and what better medium than photomontage to do that?
I started with abstract art around six months ago, and I'm completely addicted. This way of creating is totally freeing, and allows me to express my emotions in a completely unconfined way. It really lets my creativity loose. Through different digital techniques I create images that focus on colors and emotions, and they are pretty much open for others to interpret whatever way they want. They might feel joy or sorrow, see outer space or the sunrise. Each to their own.

We often get so caught up in our routine that we hardly find time to dream or unleash our creativity. Photoshop is a mighty tool that brings imagination to life by creating otherworldly images that challenge our logic and invigorate creativity. In the digital age, it's easy to travel into the imaginative worlds of talented artists who keep blurring the line between reality and fiction, and at the same time, encourage us to think outside the box.
Get the tissues ready.
Art aficionados like to pretend that there's a very specific and complex science behind interpreting paintings. But as these humorous tweets reveal, the hidden messages are often pretty obvious, not to mention pretty funny!
Sleep paralysis is a curious thing. As you might know, during an episode of sleep paralysis a person is unable to move or speak, all the while being totally aware of that. If that wasn't enough, there's also an eerie twist - while being paralyzed, one might also see hallucinations, which, when seen for the first couple of times might be intensely scary. And to make it just a little bit more fun, visual hallucinations are never pleasant, merely the level of terror felt might vary. Of course, there are a couple of theories why these things happen to usually otherwise healthy people, but nobody knows for sure.

My name is Devin Elle Kurtz, and I am often known by the name TamberElla online. I am a concept artist, painter, and illustrator living in Burbank, California. When I was a toddler, my mom went to college for graphic design and purchased an early Wacom Tablet along with Photoshop. Instead of giving me coloring books to keep me busy, she would sit me down with Photoshop and let me draw and paint. Growing up, I learned to paint digitally alongside learning to read, write, and ride a bike. Painting for me is calming and comforting, and I try to give others that sense of peace when they look at my digital art.

Chilling alone is fine, but chilling with animals is the best. There's nothing better than vibing with your furry friends; you get the best of both worlds. You still can feel like you have company without the unnecessary noise that comes from hanging around with other people. Let us introduce you to an artist who portrayed it perfectly in her mini illustration series.

Life hacks are basically an entire subgenre of online content. The trend has permeated all the social media platforms and gained a somewhat notorious reputation for being either inexplicably absurd (like, chopping onions with a face shield or getting stains out of your shirt with shaving foam) or simply “but why?”-inducing.

Today I am feeling inspired by these beautiful watercolour illustrations. My favourite thing about watercolour illustrations is that you can achieve so many varied results from this versatile media.
Few would argue if we said that pets are an endless source of joy and happiness in our lives. Therefore, there is no surprise people are trying to immortalize them in every way possible. This Aussie painter, Vanessa Stockard, found the best way to do that by sneaking her three adorable cats, Kevin The Kittin, his mom Fluff Ferstenberg and the head of the adorable fluff family, Satan, into her paintings. Stockard’s process includes pieces developed without visual reference but rather from memory. These narratives incorporate domestic pets such as cats and dogs, juxtaposing the anthropomorphic nature of these animals are given by society, she infuses the personification of virtue and vice into the everyday canine and feline status quo. Cats with their fluffy comical exteriors yet instinctual urge to kill and a tendency to be cruel to their prey, dogs with their providence of happiness and friendship flung back to Churchill’s metaphor for depression. Despite this not-so -cheerful description of her works, Stockard manages to make her art somehow quirky and very enjoyable!
