You may choose to give each student a copy or simply display it on a board or in a writing center for students to look at. Laminate for longer lasting use. Print out the "Plan" page for students to use as their prewrite and plan out their details. If you would like to have students create a rough draft, they can (rough draft paper is not included). Print out the "Final Copy" Paper front to back if need. There are two types depending on students skill level, dotted or plain lines. Once students are done with their final draft there is space to draw a picture for their story. Student Directions: Provide each student with one die. They will roll the die once for "Character" and what ever number they roll is the character their story will be about, they can add other characters as well. They can circle it, if you provide the prompt paper, or they can simply write it down on the "Plan" page. They will repeat a roll for "Problem" and "Setting". Once they have rolled 3 times to get their character, problem, and setting they can start planning their story details by writing what will happen at the Beginning, Middle, and End of their story. They finish by using their BEST HANDWRITING for their final draft. If you liked this Fantasy Roll A Story you will like others like it! Please Miss, Can I Have Some More?! This is an engaging Narrative and Creative Writing worksheet comprising 17 high quality tasks and prompts for students to undertake. Each task has a points value depending on how easy or challenging the task is, which means you can set a points requirement as homework, during the lesson or for the duration of a unit. SAMPLE TASK: Describe your first encounter with a celebrity. Tell the story twice - first from your point of view, then imagine how the celebrity felt about meeting you. The 'task bubbles' presentation means that students can colour in the tasks that they have completed so that you can easily check progress, and it can also be used to add a competitive edge to proceedings! You can also use this as a homework mat alongside your Narrative/Creative unit to support independent learning. Have fun with it! I'm always amazed by the quality of the responses! Create LOTS of versions!!! -Numbers -Letters -Addition -Subtraction -CVC words -CVCe words -Nonsense Words -Sight Words -Vocabulary Words/Definition -Many, many other skills My students enjoy playing this game! Print cards on card stock, and cut out the cards. Print a game board for each player. (2-4 players) Laminating is optional. Object of game: Cover your game board with cards that match the pictures. How to play: Each player gets a game board. Put the cards in the middle of the group. Players take turns drawing a card and naming the answers that is represented on the card. After answering correctly, the player puts the card on the game board in the space that matches the picture on the card. Play continues until one player has matching cards on all the spaces. Twists of the game: * If a player draws a card with a picture that is already covered on his game board, then the player continues to stack cards on the same space with matching cards. * If a player draws an “Oh, no!” card, then the player loses all the cards on his game board and puts all of them in a DISCARD PILE. *If a player draws a “FREE SPACE” card (this card has all five pictures represented on the card), then he decides where to place the card. Once the card is placed it remains in the space until the game is over. OR an “Oh,no!” card is drawn. Now available as a bundle! The Elements and Principles of Art Bundle I am not a fan of worksheets in replace of big, creative art projects. But to learn about the elements of art, these worksheets are fun, quick and leave room for creativity. These Elements of Art worksheets can be printed off all at once for a sketchbook that would be perfect for students who finish early. Add some blank pages in the back and you are ready to go! The pages are very self-explanatory and the kids should be able to do most of it on their own. Most pages have minimal color and can be printed easily in black & white. I am going to use these workbooks as students arrive for my class (as a "bell ringer" for the first 5 minutes.) They can pick up where they left off each time we use them. These would also be good for easy and mess-free substitute teacher activities. Many worksheets are boring. These are fun and allow your students some room for creativity as they learn new concepts. Lines (2): Types of lines, Line drawing exercise with directional and curvy lines Shapes (2): Geometric and organic Form (2): Drawing different types of forms Color (4): Color wheel, rainbow order, complementary colors, warm and cool, neutral colors Value (2): Value scale, value name exercise Value and Form (1): Drawing and shading forms Texture (3): Different types of texture, copying texture from artwork, create your own picture with texture Space (2): Positive and negative space, landscape with foreground, middleground and background Elements of Art (1): Review
