Original 2199 x 3722 px 150DPI Springtime by Pierre-Auguste Cot, 1873 - Classical Painting of Adam and Eve in Garden of Eden "This flirtatious duo in classicizing dress, painted with notable technical finesse, reflects Cot’s allegiance to the academic style of his teachers, including Bouguereau and Cabanel. Exhibited at the Salon of 1873, the picture was Cot’s greatest success, widely admired and copied in engravings, fans, porcelains, and tapestries. Its first owner, hardware tycoon John Wolfe, awarded the work a prime spot in his Manhattan mansion, where visitors delighted in "this reveling pair of children, drunken with first love ... this Arcadian idyll, peppered with French spice." Wolfe’s cousin, Catharine Lorillard Wolfe, later commissioned a similar scene from Cot, The Storm, now also in the Metropolitan’s collection (87.15.134)." - Met Museum

The original works are usually too long, or too short, to neatly fill a store-bought frame. Most shops arbitrarily crop the artwork to match, leading to claustrophobic prints with missing or partial elements. These modifications — sometimes trivial, sometimes ludicrous — are not always shown in the product photos. We believe that the purpose of art is not to fill a frame; it is the purpose of a frame to showcase the art. Our prints have inset borders that make up any differences in proportion between the artwork and a standard frame, so that you can experience the art as the artist intended. They look sharp in beveled mats, may be float mounted, or inserted directly into standard frames; the borders providing a mat-like accent around the image. There are many styles from which to choose. Framing is a fun, creative process that enhances the artwork and livens your space for years to come. Should you like any advice, feel free to reach out. CUSTOMIZATION AND IMAGE REQUESTS ----------------------------- We are happy to customize our prints to fit your frame. Borderless prints may require the artwork to be cropped to fit a new aspect ratio. In such cases, we will provide a mockup to ensure that the final product meets with your approval. If you’re looking for an artwork that is not in our catalog, feel free to ask if we can provide it. We will print any public domain or openly licensed image that is available in high resolution. MUSEUM QUALITY ----------------------------- Giclée process prints are the gold standard in fine art reproduction. We use a matte finish, cotton fiber paper to maximize detail while eliminating glare. Our prints display a wide color gamut, deep blacks and beautiful tonal transitions. Produced using only archival materials, they will not fade or yellow, but maintain their original quality for as long as you own them. HANDMADE DECLARATION ----------------------------- To assure artistic quality, all of our production and design is strictly in-house. Every print has been proofed, calibrated and inspected for defects. We do not drop ship, resell or make use of third-party production partners. SHIPPING AND PACKAGING ----------------------------- All orders ship within one business day via USPS First Class, Priority Mail or Priority Mail Express. Sizes 9” x 12” and 12” x 16” ship in a flat configuration, unless combined with larger prints, which require tubes. We will replace any lost or damaged items at no expense to you. HAPPINESS GUARANTEE ----------------------------- We will promptly address any issues that may arise with your order. If you are unhappy with your print for any reason, you are welcome to return it for a full refund.

This week I tried something new with the vocabulary in the story. I got the idea at a First Grade Conference in December. The student writes the vocabulary word in the middle of the sheet and then there are four things to do with the word. We completed two of the boxes together as a class and they finished the last two boxes independently. The kiddos sure had a great grasp of the vocabulary after this. When we read the story they had fantastic comprehension.

Writing Worksheet – Creating Mood (PDF) I think of mood as being the expression of a setting’s personality. Depending on the narration style, mood will often be created through a character’s experiences with the setting, but it can also remain unmediated. Some of the moodiest creations have deep layers of emotion and richly-detailed and slightly sinister backdrops; Gormenghast and House of Leaves…

Safo. Cross stitch pattern. Counted cross stitch patter. Cross stitch supply. Hand embroidery pattern. PDF cross stitch. Cross stitch chart. Safo by Miquel Carbonell i Selva in PDF format. All my patterns are created using a combination of computer and hand correction and are designed in the ‘’ pointillist ‘’ style of art which is a technique of painting in which small distinct points of primary colors create the impression of an intermediate color. So, when you look at the embroidered piece from a few feet away all colors mixed together and it looks very realistic. The first photo is the original work of the artist and the second is the embroidered result, according to the pattern. The thread foto is from Mrs. Deb, which embroidered this pattern and she has the kindness enough to send me a foto. With your purchase you will receive with electronic delivery to your email box, 1. A PDF with picture that shows how it looks the finished piece. 2. A PDF with instructions and symbol key. 3. A PDF pattern with black and white symbols. 4. A PDF with thread lengths. Stitches: 275 x 400. Size, with 14 count Aida fabric: 19.64 x 28.57 inches, 49.89 x 72.57 cm. Hello Everyone! What a fun day in first grade today! Yesterday I introduced Sneaky E to the kids. We had a ball brainstorming Sneaky E words and making the paper bag puppet. We also learned the Sneaky E song. Today we put what we learned into ACTION! Literally! We made little mini movies about The Adventures of Sneaky E. We divided into 5 groups and each group chose a Sneaky E word. A Sneaky E was chosen for each group, and then they were off to practice what they saw in their mind movies as to how Sneaky E would actually go about making the first vowel say it's name. They were so cute as they practiced! Then it was time to try to film! Okay. UGH! I've been trying to upload our videos for the past hour and something is just not clicking!! I am soooo sorry! I will try again tomorrow, because they are just too cute!! If someone out there knows how to help, I would appreciate it!! I'm thinking the files might be too big. Till then, have a great night! Don't let Sneaky E sneak up on you!! Joyfully! Nancy
