About The Artwork the easy times, this series pays homage to spring and summer. Life gets brighter, life gets easier, and we wake up from our hibernation. in abstract art it is for me to be able to let go of what is most important and to express myself through colours, lines and accents. I was inspired by some of Cy Twombly's pictures for this series. in order to achieve the right amount of letting go, i.e. lightness, I was always working on a figurative work at the same time. In between, I was then able to let my thoughts run freely. The pictures are very bright and each game contains lines, sometimes more sometimes less, and I have clearly tried to reduce myself in layers and areas compared to my other pictures. for me it was like shedding ballast. I hope the viewer can capture even a part of these feelings while looking at the pictures. I've used a lot of white in most of the images as I find the colors really stand out on this cool white. Dominating the foreground, the rich blues and purples of the scabious blossom with a life-like vibrancy, their petals appearing to dance in an unseen breeze. The flowers rise on delicate stems, interspersed by the warm golden hues of surrounding flora, which add a sun-kissed contrast to the cooler tones of the central blooms. Beyond the floral display, the meadow transitions to a dense forest tableau. Towering white-barked trees reach skyward, their trunks rendered in bold, swift lines that suggest both strength and the fleeting nature of light filtering through the canopy. 'For All the Jewels in the World' is a vibrant ode to the beauty of cherished legacies. With hues of oranges and reds swirling like beads on a necklace against a serene blue backdrop, the painting whispers tales of treasures passed from mother to daughter. Each stroke echoes the sentiment of familial bonds and the value of inherited treasures, much like the hand-painted costume jewelry I received from my own mother.
