is included in the series: Perspective of the time oil on canvas context: Philosophical stance of science fiction with time travel, where the individual alters events from his past, thus modifying his own destiny, either consciously or unconsciously, through cause-and-effect actions, either having encounters with himself or canceling his own existence in a paradoxical way. Such possibilities can manifest themselves in events of a same time. About this artwork: Classification, Techniques & Styles Oil Paint consisting of pigments bound with linseed oil or carnations. The traditional technique consists of superimposing layers of paint increasingly rich in oil for a solid and durable hanger. Surrealism Founded in 1923 by the writer André Breton, it will unite many artists like Salvador Dali (1904-1989), Max Ernst, René Magritte (1898-1967), Victor Brauner (1903-1966). Influenced by psychoanalysis, they see psychic life as a new field for renewing the arts. They will develop new ways to create and use new materials. Technic Painting Painting is an art form of painting on a surface by aesthetically applying colored fluids. Painters represent a very personal expression on supports such as paper, rock, canvas, wood, bark, glass, concrete and many other substrates. Artist Devany Amber Wolfe combines symbolic and esoteric imagery with distinctly feminine forms to create cosmic dreamscapes that invoke the most mystical aspects of our psyche and soul.
Photo manipulated images that give imagination a visual voice. Artist going by the name Thezairul has one of the best job descriptions I have ever seen. "Surreal Practitioner". Digital art that show us a point of view, which might stretch the sometimes narrow ones we have. I speak from my experience. If you have ever spoken the following words, then you know what I am talking about. "I thought everybody..." you can add to that: Thought, Did etc. We do tend to assume that because we grew up doing something a certain way, that everyone does exactly the same. It can be embarrassing to find out that some or most don't. But it's also eyeopening; you get to thinking: "What other things have I made assumptions about, that are not necessarily universal?" It's a perfect start to seeing the world in a different way. Appreciating the subtle differences that make out life on this planet so interesting, (at times) and definitely diverse. A few surreal exercises below, to stretch that secure and consistent view of the world you might have. Ps. I gave the images some titles. Motorways of the future. Press the Image to Enlarge it. No matter whether they’re made digitally, or using scissors, glue and a scanner, collage art is loads of fun! The pieces I love browsing the most are those with hilarious results, where the artist uses totally random imagery to create an abstract scene with a comedic touch. In today’s design showcase I present 30 fantastic […]
La fotografia surreale di Ceslovas Cesnakevicius di ispira al mondo del sogno. Cielo e nuvole sono elementi comuni nelle sue opere come un mondo parallelo.
Paintings that depict what is normal, in surreal worlds. Polish Illustrator and painter Rafal Olbinski is a favourite here. One of the first artists we featured. Artists like him, help us question the definition of normal. I am not trying to suggest that any of his art is (that is a good thing), but it pushes us not accept that word as an immovable boundary; something that is set in stone. We are brought up to think that everything on the right side of the word is OK and comfortable. The ones on the wrong side, are to be viewed with suspicion and should make you feel uncomfortable. I am not saying that you should be OK with everything, just not to let another's definition of normal, dictate your thoughts. There is a skism when it comes to that word. We are all told that normal is what we have to and want to strive for (you don't want to be abnormal). But then the people that are truly special, or the acts which are seen as amazing, are never normal. Normal in that context is a lesser thing... Look beyond superficial definitions and first impressions. You have to do just that, to really see these illustrations... Ps. I gave the images some titles.
