$NYC Urgent Cats - ***Pulled by Feline Rescue of Staten Island*** Website - http://felinerescueofstatenisland.webs.com/ Facebook page - https://www.facebook.com/felinerescuesi Brooklyn Center My name is NINJA. My Animal ID # is A1012148. I am a male black domestic sh mix. The shelter thinks I am about 5 MONTHS old. I came in the shelter as a OWNER SUR on 08/28/2014 from NY 11208, owner surrender reason stated was NO TIME. MOST RECENT MEDICAL INFORMATION AND WEIGHT 09/11/2014 Exam Type OBSERVATION - Medical Rating is 3 C - MAJOR CONDITIONS , Behavior Rating is EXPNOCHILD, Weight 4.6 LBS. Due to improvements in behavior (at front of cage, vocalizing, soliciting attention,) changed behavior from red to blue. 08/28/2014 PET PROFILE MEMO 08/28/14 13:18 NAME Ninja REASON FOR SURRENDER Ninja's previous owner lives in a no pets building, and also, due to the previous owner's condition, they were not able to properly care for Ninja. RELATIONSHIP Ninja was found was as a stray by his previous owner on Fountain and Belmont Avenues about three months ago. He is currently about 3 months old. PEOPLE Ninja lived with one adult. He has never bitten or scratched anyone or any other animal. OTHER ANIMALS Ninja has never lived with or interacted with any other animals. PERSONALITY/HABITS He has been described as playful, friendly, confident, and affectionate. He loves to chase and catch anything that moves. He enjoys playing and his favorite toys are strings and balls. He has never received a bath or nail trimming, so his behavior during these events is unknown. He enjoys being brushed and sitting in his carrier. He doesn't like being picked up or cuddled. He usually isn't bothered if you disturb him while he is sleeping. He seems to enjoy car rides. When you are home, Ninja tends to follow you around. He enjoys eating both dry and canned food. He uses an uncovered litter box with clay litter. He enjoys sleeping on the bed or the couch. He tends to scratch on the furniture, but it should be noted that he does not have a scratching post. TRAINING He is litter box trained and has never had an accident. BEHAVIOR DURING INTAKE Upon intake he was very nervous of the new environment and allowed limiting handling. 09/08/2014 WEB MEMO A volunteer writes: This little guy lives up to his name! He is an active, playful live wire of a cat, with energy to spare. In his kennel, he shrinks back a bit when you open the door, but then assumes a ready-to-pounce stance, as though he wants to play. He doesn't sit still for petting, but neither does he scratch when you put your hand out, which leads me to think that he just wants to have fun. I agree with his behavior evalution that he needs a home with someone who is experienced with cats and will therefore know how give him the kind of attention that he needs to become adjusted to his new surroundings. Lots of play and the space to do it in will be key with this handsome little fellow. 09/02/2014 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION - EXPNOCHILD Exam Type BEHAVIOR Reaction to assessor: comes to the front of the cage, soliciting, rubbing against the cage front (1) When spoken quietly: stays at front, continues soliciting attention (1) Reaction to door cage opening: retreats (3) Reaction to touch: becomes alert, cautious about my approach, allows petting (2) Reaction to toy or novel object: interested but cutious (2) Try picking cat up: tolerant of this type of handling. Notes: Ninja was surrender by his owner and at the time of the assessment he was displaying cautious non-fractious behavior. He was at the front of the kennel when I approach, retreated once the door was open and became cautious and alert as I started to approach. After using soft vocalizations he slowly came forward and allows petting and handling, although tense there was no attempt to bite or scratch made by Ninja. As per owners profile Ninja previously lived with 1 adult and has never been around children; has not lived or interacted with other animals. When ask about his personality the mention that he has been described as playful, friendly, confident, and affectionate. He loves to chase and catch anything that moves. He enjoys playing and his favorite toys are strings and balls. Due to previous behavior and what was observed during the evaluation we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children. 08/28/2014 INITIAL PHYSICAL EXAM Medical rating was 1 - NORMAL , behavior rating was NONE Scanned negative Intact male, approx 4 months old Applied activyl bar fractious, striking, hissing, growling, aggressive, sedated for exam with telazol 0.1mL IM. felv/fiv test negative 09/11/2014 RE-EXAM (LAST MAJOR EXAM) Medical rating 3 C - MAJOR CONDITIONS , behavior rating EXPNOCHILD SNEEZING WITH SNEEZE MARKS IN CAGE. adorable adoptables...yes!

Hi there, my name is Waldo and I’m a 1.5 year old basset dude in So Cal. I like all the usual basset things, going for a walk (really fast or really slow, my choice), smelly things and smelling things, naps, belly rubs, food… Right now I really just want to love and be loved. And regular meals. And treats. Oh and walks. And belly rubs. Hmm. I may be missing something but I think I hit all the important things.
