Another great explore! We parked our car and started walking towards the castle. (I would prefer to call it Chateau Alkohol, because it’s loooooooots more than just a house) We started walking and immediately we spotted a lady more or less waiting for us along the road. We close up on her and another lady joins her and they look at these two awkward photographers walking towards them. I gave them a smile and my best “Guten Tag” and walked through like there’s nothing wrong. We aren’t followed but keep our eyes and ears open. It didn’t took us long and we were in! It was built in the mid of the 13th century by a noble Count, who’s family nowadays still owns it. Please visit www.preciousdecay.com for more pictures

This church looks short and squat from the outside and sits uncomfortably in it's little square, bulging, an ugly duckling! The exterior fails to suggest any majesty compared to Vienna's other large palaces of worship such as Stephandom & Karlskirche, but then you go inside! The baroque interior is so busy and heavy with detail that it is impossible to take in what you are seeing. You need to take a picture so that you can study it later and decipher the church's mysteries... or alternatively sit through a very long service!
"Soma Goddess" - An 11x14 print of an original painting by Emily Balivet. Soma is an ancient intoxicating drink frequently mentioned in the Hindu Rig Vedas. Prepared from a mysterious plant and used in Vedic ritual, it was believed to be the ambrosia of the gods and granted immortality. It has been suggested that Soma may have been hallucinogenic mushrooms. Soma literally means "body" in Sanskrit and unites the holy trinity of mind, body, and spirit. The image measures 11" x 14" and is printed on acid-free, archival quality matte Kodak Endura photo paper. There is a generous white border allowance for matting and framing. The print is sealed in a protective cello sleeve, signed on the back, and shipped flat. ~All prints are packaged professionally and shipped via Priority mail (within the US) ~Overseas shipping via USPS First Class International ~Shipping discounts on multiple purchases Please contact me with questions or comments and visit my website www.emilybalivet.com to see my entire portfolio!
Just touching base with all of you. Mom had a little setback and is in the hospital again. She spent a week in a larger hospital, and I can't say she improved there, but we finally got moved to our local one, and she seems much, much better. Looking at coming home in the near future. We are headed in today to help keep her company, help with the feedings, etc. Whimsy and Hugs!
