ABOUT 1905 Belongs to BRR" Mary Obiera Stodghill was born on May 15, 1874, in Jackson, Georgia, her father, James, was 20, and her mother, Martha, was 19. She married Earlie Ignatius Rooks on December 10, 1893, in her hometown. She died on December 18, 1948, at the age of 74, and was buried in Jackson, Georgia. French postcard by GMR-B, Depot serie 4048. Miss Ivy Lilian Close. English actress Ivy Close (1890 - 1968) was chosen as 'The Most Beautiful Woman in the World' in 1908. She then became one of the first stars of the British cinema and started a dynasty of British filmmakers. Ivy Close acted in 44 British, American, French and German films between 1912 and 1929. Most notable is Abel Gance's La roue/The wheel (1923).
