中国2098：第五排水口 五号泵是位于东海大堤中国控制段最北端的排水口，也是目前大堤上唯一没有处于维修状态的排水口，这也和其较晚的建造时间有关。 东海大堤建成后，将堤内的海平面降低就成了最重要的任务，除了众所周知的东水西引工程将海水淡化引入西北大盆地以外，还有开始于更早时间、面向大堤外侧西太平洋的排水工程。排水口构造与大堤在海平面以上的部分是合为一体的，第一座排水口即零号泵，于2061年就开始工作，那时东水西引工程还没有开始；大堤的水下部分在2060年完工，所以在大堤高度刚刚超过海平面的时候，排水系统就开始被嵌入在大堤的结构之中了；当大堤本体在2066年完工时，已经有三座排水口完工投产。 现在零至四号泵都在维修中，所以想看到巨型水泵工作时的景象，只能到五号泵来；如果坐火车，从中国联检大楼站出发，大概一个小时就可以到达这里。 自从2084年大堤内所有国家的海岸线恢复以后，大堤就进入了维持海平面动态平衡的阶段，排水口附近还有能够向内放水的闸门，这些闸门和排水口轮流交替工作，再加上东水西引工程的配合，可以确保大堤内的海平面相对稳定。
