Het People’s Pavilion is de centrale ontmoetingsplek voor creatieve denkers en doeners uit de hele wereld. Het paviljoen is een 100% circulair gebouw: bij de bouw gaan geen grondstoffen van onze aarde verloren. De ontwerpers van bureau SLA en Overtreders W hebben hier een geheel nieuwe invulling aan gegeven: alle materialen die nodig zijn voor het maken van het 250 m2 grote gebouw zijn geleend. Van leveranciers en producenten, maar ook van bewoners uit Eindhoven. Heipalen, houten balken, gevelelementen, glazen dak, plastic bekleding, verlichting: alles is geleend en wordt na afloop van de DDW weer heel en ongeschonden teruggegeven aan de eigenaren. 100% geleend betekent dat er niet wordt geschroefd, gelijmd, geboord of gezaagd. Alle gebruikte materialen blijven immers intact. Dit heeft geleid tot een nieuwe vormgeving. Het People’s Pavilion laat een nieuwe toekomst voor duurzaam bouwen zien: een krachtige ontwerptaal, met nieuwe samenwerkingen en intelligente bouwmethodieken.
