바자 시립도서관의 지향점은 도시환경 속 입지적 특징의 반영과 지역주민들의 문화생활 증진을 위한 거점공간 창출에 있다. 고대 도시 문명과 현대적인 도시환경의 경계를 연결하는 입지적인 특징은 도서관을 두개의 개별적인 공간으로 구성시킨다. 도서관과 UNED(사이버 대학의 본관)이 경사지를 따라 자리한다. 어두운 회색계열의 석재로 마감, 거대한 플랫폼을 생성하는 저층부가 -UNED- 역사적인 도시를 향해 배치 및 전망을 확보하는 동안 상층부 2개층은 백색계열의 석재로 마감된 도서관이 자리, 상하부 대조적인 대비감을 이루며 디자인 된다. 지역주민들을 위한 도서관은 다양한 공용공간을 제공, 열린 공간으로 디자인된다. 이와 동시에 칠드런 룸 및 리딩클럽과 같은 독립적인 공간이 함께 구성된다.도서관 파사드는 외부적인 ..
