Jacob Burmood has been sculpting professionally since 1999. He has worked in stainless steel, aluminum, ceramic and bronze, but his preferred medium is cast resin with a metal finish. Jacob earned his Master of Fine Arts in Sculpture at the University of Kansas, Lawrence, KS. He previously instructed in sculpture in the Art Department at Johnson County Community College, Overland Park, KS. Prior to that he instructed in sculpture at Missouri State University, Springfield, MO. He has been a self-supporting artist since 2015. Jacob's collectors include Arrowhead Stadium, Kansas City, MO; the National Soccer Hall of Fame, Frisco, TX (a suburb of Dallas); the City of Prairie Village, KS (a suburb of Kansas City); University of Kansas Hospital, Overland Park, KS; the City of Lawrence, KS; and scores of private collectors throughout the Midwest as well as on the East and West Coasts.
