My new obsession this year has been making and using anchor charts for my lessons. Here are just some of the anchor charts I have made this year. Some of these charts are original ideas but many are ideas I have seen and used from other teachers. I am not good at drawing so I use clipart from my computer to add pictures to my anchor charts. I print them out and glue them onto the chart! It’s so much easier and looks so much better than what I could draw! I also laminate my anchor charts so I can use them year to year. By laminating the charts I can easily write and erase on them by using an Expo marker. Bring yourself back to this present moment with your breath. Ground yourself using your senses. Ask yourself - "ls this worry within my control?" If 'Yes' - What can you do about it? Workshop and brainstorm ways to overcome the worry or to accept it (acceptance doesn't mean you have to love it! If 'No ' - What can I do to let this worry go? So far I have used it with 3 of my students and have found their reading to be a lot faster due to the size of the music staff. Would 100% recommend!!" - Amy T. "Perfect early repertoire for my young beginning students! I love the size of the print, very easy for the students to read from. This is just what I was looking for!" - Emily J. N. "Love the big font. Fun to get to play Spring as a newbie :)" - Rachel W. For violin, most pieces are in the key of A. My second grade Suzuki child already knew several songs, such as Hot Cross Buns, Lightly Row, Ode to Joy, and she “read” them perfectly first time. This was fortunate because it built her confidence in reading." - Mary G.
