It appears that boredom lies behind the most creative ideas. That's why quarantine has produced some of the most entertaining activities. One of them is the Getty Museum challenge that so many of you have already seen in our previous article here. The challenge, which asks people to recreate famous works of art by using things they find around the home, has gained a lot of traction. Apparently, people love to dress up and compete with each other over who can recreate a well-known painting better. A Kelowna artist has been getting significant attention for her recreation of a famous Frida Kahlo painting using household items.
Ever since last December, people have been entertaining themselves by participating in an open community project called "Take a photo of the Rembrandt type".
We all probably know these beloved Western art masterpieces, but not like this! Here are 20 great examples of classic paintings that have been reproduced creatively by a few very creative art lovers with photo cameras. It all began when booooom.com partnered with Adobe to create the Remake project, which invited students across the U.K. to recreate classical paintings with photography.

I watched the movie Into the Spiderverse and it got my creative powers going. Not only did I create sneakers inspired by the movie, but it implanted a wild idea that I had to try to make into a pop art-illustration reality. I gave myself a pop-art makeover with face paint, but I also painted the jacket, the shirt, and pants to look like illustrative art as well! I used Photoshop to create these illustrations & animations.
