Hand drawn and written pages, that could be used as a book of architectural buildings. The entire thing is so beautiful and neat, that I can see it being printed and used as the beginning or an encyclopedia of Heritage buildings, around Europe and eventually, around the world. The Turkish Artist and Architect, that created these lovely urban illustrations is Oğuzhan Çengel. Make sure you press the images to enlarge them, (not the first one), so that you don't miss any of the wonderful details and colors that Çengel, so expertly applied to every part of the page, in these artist's sketchbooks. You don't necessarily need an MFA to get a job at a major art museum. Here's a look at the top museum jobs and the roles these professionals play.
From time to time I have students research an artist prior to beginning a project and record their understanding of that artist and their work by making an Artist Page. They are encouraged to arrange all the relevant information in a manner that represents or connects back to the artist. This gives me the opportunity to see if they are ready to begin the project. This was their very first one on Rene Magritte/Surrealism before they did a surreal collage using Magrittes artistic devices - transformation, scale, levitation, juxtapostion, transparency and dislocation.

Museums and art galleries can become an overwhelming experience for the casual visitor. Luckily, some people untangle centuries-old ideas and dumb-down them into language us mortals can understand, too. Previously, we covered museum museum snapchats; now it's time for something else - an array of hilarious art memes. After diving into this list, you might just feel as a highbrow art critic yourself.
After seeing Grant Snider's cute and clever illustrations pop up on a number of blogs, I was led to his site where I ended up spending a good part of my

An artist that could easily convert these drawings into a book with architectural illustrations. Oğuzhan Çengel, has been featured before here on DesignStack, that is for the calibre of his drawings and the professional way in which he displays them. Each drawing / building comes with a two page layout, on what looks like a Moleskine diary or journal. The two pages are mixture of plans, elevations and isometric drawings, beautifully framed by Çengel's writing. i really hope that someone notices his work and commissions it to be made into a book, it would be a shame and a loss if they didn't. Art hilariously imitating life.
An artist fascinated with the buildings and history that populate our cities and nations. Jerome Tryon, predominately uses Graphite and ink, to fill the pages of his moleskine drawing book, with fantastic sketches plus notes, of the places and buildings he visits. On his Instagram page, he takes the time to explain a little bit more about the history of the building, or/and the experiences that took place whilst sketching in situ (in place / on the spot). Most of the drawings that are in the post, represent his trip to Rome, one of the exceptions is of the Berlin Museum. Enjoy the tour of these historic buildings, courtesy of Tryon.
