I was in a mojo funk yesterday and didn't actually make anything to share today (probably due to the BEAUTIFUL summer weather going on outside and the fact that I was not out in it) so I decided to do a post on, "Things I am Loving Right Now" after which I will be going outside to enjoy the sunshine! This print these chairs looking for new kitchen chairs at present...love the juxtaposition between the farm table (which I have) and the modern chairs. A new chandelier may be in order too! this series I purchased the 8 part series on iTunes ($13.99) for my recent trip to Chicago. Did not want to stop watching. Classic story by Dickens and as always, beautiful costumes, rich characters and cinematography by the Brits for Masterpiece Theater on PBS. So worth the money. ,,,,, If you want to purchase on iTunes as I did, just type the words Bleak House in search. this class by my friend Mou this recipe this book I bought The Greater Journey on the recommendation of my friend Sally, from Delaware. The book by David McCullough focus on Americans that lived in Paris between 1830 and 1900. So interesting how the author weaves medicine, art and science into the timeline of history. Let me just say that I have used Google on numerous occasions to look up pictures of the paintings described in the book (love when I have actually seen one in person), additional information on the Franco-Prussia war as well as the ever valiant American ambassador Elihu Washburne (someone should make a statue of him). these shoes just bought them. on sale. fabulous with navy dress. enough said. this art card 8 x 10 art card with envelope for mailing this inspiration check out Philippa's beautiful wallpaper here this advice Now get out an enjoy the sunshine... (except for Deb who lives on the sun). Now that I think about it, I will be flying to Arizona next week and therefore I will be on the sun with her! I better start drinking water now! (personally, I think I might feel better about having to be in Arizona in August if we have bruschetta for lunch at Postino's... no one does it better!). cheers for a great week everyone! paula

I did it again:) Days and hours of work (but how joyful moments they were!), tons of rubbish, paint, embellishments and pure creative pleasure - and here she is - "Queen of Hearts" another big collage that was waiting in a row to come to life. I like the moment when I put the paintbrush back in the bucket and I can say - I'm done... but I love the process of creating even more! "Queen of Hearts" - 50 x 70 cm (20 x 27,5'') mixed-media collage on canvas This time the colors meant to be more feminine, soft, but not without a bit of "industrial coldness", with a lot of shining gold on the top. The photo was chosen long, long ago, when I had the first idea of creating this piece - I really kept this "baby" in my head for months! I wanted to get the balance of colors and texture, rich look without feeling of being too heavy - and I hope I succeeded! Details are very dimensional and taking good photos of them was almost impossible :( I can only promise you it looks better in real life... Again I think I'm close to industrial art, cyberpunk art or artistic upcycling but I'm sure you will find a lot of elements that would classify this piece as steampunk collage- with a bit of spiritual feeling. Are the names really important? The finished piece should speak by itself - and I hope this one can touch some strings in your souls... I'd love to hear what you think about my "Queen". Can you please share what comes to your mind? Thanks in advance! This pile of painted rubbish could only change into collage with a big help of my amazing friends, fans and companies from all over the world :) I'm a collector - I know, but hey - I can't gather THAT much without support, right? Huge thanks to: my Dad, Linda Brun, Drycha, Rae Cooper (and Scrap Mratix), Wendy Vecchi, Agnieszka Barska (Aniees) and my sweet students from Warsaw, France and USA. Thanks to your gifts, shared collections and open hearts I can create without hesitation as use as much as I need! You are just the best, guys! Special thanks to Prima Marketing - for the best flowers ever made and releasing my metal embellishments included in this piece - Mechanicals. Prima stencils and Ingvild's Shabby Chic Treasures (birds) are also a very important part of this project! Huge thanks to Luminarte - for possibility to play with the most amazing color palette ever (Primary Elements and Silks ROCK my world!!!)! Other supplies: Ranger: Dylussion Sprays, Glossy Accents. Tim Holtz: metal embellishments (crown, keyhole), gel medium, heavy gel medium, black acrylic paint, gesso, fixative. And... now is your turn, please leave me a comment and share - what comes to your mind, please! Thanks... and see you soon in USA and Canada! BTW: Those of you who are attending CHA show in Las Vegas may meet me and the "Queen" somewhere around Prima booth - see you there!

I am here today to share with you a steampunk style mixed media canvas. I wanted to push my color boundaries and go with something a little different (for me), I tend to stick to the blue/green color
The year has almost reached this mysterious point where night and rest prevail, while light is preparing to return and bring renewed energy to the world. It is a good time to reflect upon what has unfolded in the past months, and to make a wish, blowing the seeds of possibility into the wind...
