The turn of the century marks one of the most important epochs, the golden age of Budapest. Capturing the ethereal transition from day to night, this exquisite print invites viewers to bask in the serene beauty of Ardtun Bay at the cusp of dusk. In the Art Nouveau style, the piece is a symphony of elongated forms and elegant, sinuous lines that harmonise with the natural environment, evoking a sense of tranquillity and romanticism. The composition is bathed in a palette of purples, blues, and ochres, reflecting the last golden rays of the sun as it dips below the horizon, casting its warmth over the calm waters. The bay itself is rendered in gentle hues, with reflections of the sunset and distinctive vertical elements that seem to dance on the water's surface, suggesting reeds or perhaps the organic motifs characteristic of the Art Nouveau movement. In the foreground, waterlilies with their rounded leaves and softly glowing blossoms draw the eye, creating a sense of depth and foreground against the liquid expanse. Furthermore, the silhouette of a cozy dwelling perched on the rocky shore, flanked by elegant trees against the twilight, portrays a peaceful isolation, inviting contemplation of nature's beauty. The distant hills provide a backdrop of subtle gradients, further enhancing the stillness of the bay. As a piece within the 'Scottish Coves' collection, this print celebrates the unique charm of Scotland's coastal landscapes, offering an artful tribute that will allure connoisseurs and admirers of both nature and artful representation. It is a perfect addition to any space that seeks to evoke a sense of calm and the timelessness of nature's allure.

Part of the 'Scottish Beaches' collection, this exquisite piece invites you to immerse yourself in the enchanting ambiance of the Silver Sands of Morar. In the distance, soft clouds meander across the muted skies, lending depth and movement to the composition. “St. Cecily (Cecilia)” Ezio Anichini Ezio Anichini is one of our all-time favorite artists. Working mainly in the Art Nouveau style (or Stile Liberty) of the early 20th Century, he was the master of dreamy religious portraits. Famous for his Litany of Loreto, less known are his extensive magazine covers he did for arts magazines in Italy, where he was often able to incorporate his Catholic faith into his assignments and promote Catholicism from the newsstands. In this one from 1907, Arts and Labor: Music and Musicians Illustrated Monthly Magazine, he has painted the primary Catholic Saint of music, St. Cecelia, and placed her in the hands of her angel, who is her muse, bringing her Heavenly inspiration. Muse, music, right? The word music (musica in Italian) comes from the Greek word mousike, which means "art of the Muses." There is something timeless and beautiful in Anichini's work, something we always find fresh and enjoyable. ** IMPORTANT ** THE IMAGE IS SMALLER THAN THE PAPER!
