An 11x14 inch art print of a beautiful ancient egyptian horus falcon. The ancient Egyptian god Horus was a deity with many roles. His image and symbols can be found all through ancient Egyptian art. He is usually represented as a Falcon or a human figure with a Falcon head. In ancient Egypt the Sun and the Moon were regarded as the all seeing eyes of the great falcon god Horus. His right eye being the Sun and his left eye, the Moon. The original was a mix media painting. The art is printed in excellent quality on a decorative handmade fiber paper. The paper is a natural light tan color and has a nice texture that gives the prints a beautiful vintage look. All United States orders ship by USPS Priority Mail. The goddess Bast is widely known today as the "Cat Goddess" , Goddess of sensual pleasure, protector of the household, bringer of health, Fertility and Birth, the Goddess of Children and Pregnant Mothers, and thus the Goddess of Life, Family and the Home. Bastet also known as Bast, Baast, Ubasti and Baset. Bastet's name means, "She of the perfume jar". She was connected with perfumes as she shares a hieroglyph with that which represented the bas jar. These were ceramic vessels used to hold expensive perfumes. The Goddess was linked to the music and dance due to the special rattle that she carried known as the Sistrum. These special rattles were used to celebrate her festivals. About this artwork: Classification, Techniques & Styles Acrylic Paint using traditional pigments mixed with synthetic resins.
