About The Artwork Part of my ongoing 'Wall Segments & Markings' series, this larger piece is one of the few done on canvas. The series is inspired by instances of weathered and worn surfaces that I see in my everyday surroundings. As with much of my work, this piece is very textured with an initial layer of plaster that I coat the surface with. From there I use a variety of mediums including paint and stains to create the visual. I'll often scratch into the surface and sand elements away in order to achieve my desired effects.
