The night markets in Taiwan are some of the best we have come across during our travels through Asia. We spent 3 weeks travelling around Taiwan in February 2019 and photographed several of their famous night markets. There are lots of markets in Taipei at night and we visited Shifen, Huaxi, Rahoe, Liaoning and Ningxia Night Markets. Outside Taipei we went to Tainan (Garden Night Market) and Kaohsiung (Liuhe Night Market). Here are some of our favourite travel photography moments from the markets: FURTHER READING – 10 of the best night markets in Taiwan Klook.com Photos taken in Taipei (Shifen, Huaxi, Rahoe and Liaoning) Tainan (Garden Night Market) and Kaohsiung (Liuhe Night Market) Other Taiwan blog posts Taiwan Night Markets – words and photography by Caroline Keyzor. Long considered one of world’s best street food destinations, Bangkok is undergoing a ‘clean up’ as pesky authorities remove open-air food stalls from streets and sois. But fret not, foodies, there are still plenty of shophouses that provide real-deal, street-style Thai flaves worthy of a Bourdain show. And much like...
Nishiki Market is a narrow, shopping street, lined by more than one hundred shops. Various kinds of fresh and processed foods including many Kyoto specialties, such as pickles, Japanese sweets, dried food, sushi, and fresh seafood and vegetables are sold. Known as "Kyoto's Kitchen", Nishiki Market has a history of several centuries, and many stores have been operated by the same families for generations.
