What is the hottest hand bag around town for Spring 2016? It is the infamous bucket bag! I have seen it on Pinterest, Instagram and in my favourite retail stores. My favourite thing about the bucket bag is the adorable bow that most of them feature. I absolutely love bows, so that was the first design feature that caught my eye. The bucket bag looks good with just about everything. I am especially impressed with how much the bag can hold. So, if you love this bag as much as I do, I recommend heading to your favourite retail store to purchase one! Here are links to a few different places where you can purchase the bucket bag: Zara H&M TOPSHOP (Hudson's Bay) Forever 21 Dibs out ✌
Whenever I have some down time after school, my favourite things to do are go on my phone and change into my pjs. I’m sure many of you can relate to this! I am usually checking my social media accounts and looking through my news feed. Once I have looked through everything, I watch YouTube videos. I absolutely love watching YouTube videos because it allows me to escape from my everyday routine. Drinking tea is a must when I have time to myself. There is just something so relaxing about hot beverages. My favourite is green tea with almond milk and coconut sugar. Sometimes if I am feeling worried or thinking too much, I like to write in my notebook. I always feel some sort of relief after writing my thoughts down. Let me know in the comment section below what your favourite tea is when you take time to chill. Dibs out ✌
As most of you may have realized, I love wearing my hair straight. It is a very comfortable hairstyle and is usually my go-to look. So, I thought I would share a few things I do to keep my hair straight for a long period of time. 1) Blow dry your hair right after you wash it. Make sure you point the blow dryer down on your hair so it is blow dried straight. Also, make sure the attachment on your blow dryer is the concentrator. This nozzle ensures shiny and smooth hair. 2) Separate your hair in chunks when you are straightening. Yes, this can be more time consuming, but it definitely makes your straight hair last longer. 3) Use a comb while straightening your hair. This will be a helpful tool to separate the strands of hair that are being straightened. 4) Before you go to bed, gather all of your hair and put it into a low ponytail behind you. I find this helps avoid getting kinks in your hair and helps keep your hair straight. I hope these hacks help you! Let me know in the comment section below if you would like to share any tips that you have. Dibs out ✌

There is nothing I love more than getting my nails done. I have been getting Shellac on my nails for over 3 years now and the obsession continues. For the past few months, I have been getting black on my nails because I like how it matches everything I wear. As you know now, I like everything to match and that includes my nails. Black is a such a classic colour and it never gets old. Not only is getting black such a huge trend this Spring, but so are neutral colours. Another big trend is having almond shaped nails. I absolutely love this shape because it makes your nails look so chic. Dibs out ✌
There is nothing I love more then going for a run. Not only does it make me happy, but it allows me to clear my mind when I am stressed. There are a few things I do to keep myself running for a longer period of time that also helps me stay motivated during my run. So, I thought I would share some of these tips. 1) Invest in a good pair of shoes and a cute outfit. Wearing good quality shoes can help with performance and will prevent injuries. Also, if you buy shoes and clothing that you love, you will feel more motivated to run just so you can wear them. 2) Make a playlist of songs or listen to an audio book. If you are going to listen to music while you run, make a playlist of songs you want to listen to before you start running. Right now I have been listening to Zayn Malik's album while I go for a run. His songs are very upbeat and they make me really happy. An alternative to listening to music is listening to an audio book. You may find that this helps you run for a longer period of time. 3) Prepare a snack. Make something for you to eat after your run or pre-plan what you want to eat when you get back from your run. You may find this motivates you while you are running because you are working towards earning that yummy snack you made. 4) Track your success. Being able to look at how long you have ran for can be very beneficial. This is because you are able to see the distance you ran so you can decide if you want to run longer. I use a FitBit to track my exercises and I absolutely love being able to look down at my watch to see how far I've ran. This will help if you are looking to increase your distance because you can work your way up to a longer run each time. 5) Have something to hold your phone. Holding your phone while you run can be very annoying and it also tightens your muscles. I recommend buying a pouch or something else to hold your phone in to make your run more successful. Let me know in the comment section below what you do to make running easier. Dibs out ✌
Recently, I was asked by my instructor to review the case study from Harvard about Chiara Ferragni's blog, The Blonde Salad. Ever since then I have become a fan of her talent and style. Her social media posts are extremely interesting and give an insight into her daily life. I also noticed that Chiara Ferragni's outfits are always so well put together! I love the designers she gets to work with and seeing all the places she travels to. As I was scrolling through her Instagram feed, I realized that there were many outfits that I could recreate to make them more affordable. My favourite was this look because it is perfect for spring weather. If you are curious to know where my outfit is from, I have links below to items from my get the look photo. If there is one thing that everybody struggles with, it is the ability to stay focused. If you ask anyone in my family, they would tell you that I get distracted very easily. Now that I am in college, being able to focus and get work done is very important to me. So if you are like me, and tend to procrastinate, here are a few things you can do to change that: 1) Write down or tell someone about everything you need to accomplish, so that it is out of your system. 2) Separate what you have to do into small chunks. This will allow you to get through everything without getting overwhelmed. Sometimes you will find yourself worrying about time and that you are not getting things done fast enough. Don't worry though, you will get through it all. 3) Reward yourself. Some ways that I like to reward myself after completing a chunk of homework is to: watch a 10 minute YouTube video, check my social media accounts, go for a walk, or do a fitness video. 4) Keep a tall glass of water beside you. Most of the time when you feel hungry, it is because you are dehydrated. 5) Have nutritional snacks, meals and drinks. In the photos above, you can see that I am having a bowl of fruit and cup of green tea. This kind of snack will keep you energized to get your work done. I would love to hear what you do to stay focused, so let me know in the comment section below. Dibs out ✌
I decided to do a get the look for Ariana Grande in honour of her new album that was jus t released! My favourite songs from her album...
I'm not sure if you realized, but I curl my hair a lot. Most of the time I use a wand to curl my hair, however occasionally I use a curling iron. I find that my curls last much longer when I use a wand, but that might just be with my hair. Since I curl my hair so often, I have discovered a few ways to make the curls last longer. In school I was always asked how I kept my curls so perfect, even though I had slept on them. So, I decided to share my secret: 1) When you are washing your hair, keep most of the conditioner on the ends of your hair and put the remainder of conditioner that is on your hands, at the top. Be sure to wash out all of the conditioner so that your hair is not too silky. Your curls will last longer if the conditioner is completely out of your hair. 2) Let your hair air dry. I recommend washing your hair in the morning, letting it air dry all day and curling it in the afternoon or evening. For the days when you have to wash your hair after school or work, still let it air dry and if it is a little damp by the time you curl it, you can blow dry it. If you are going to blow dry it, flip your hair over so that you are not blow drying straight down. 3) Use a scrunchie to make a loose ponytail on the very top of your head so you don't ruin your curls. I recommend flipping your hair over and putting a loose ponytail in right before you sleep. Once you are lying down, move the hair above your head on your pillow. This trick will prevent your curls from flattening and it will also keep the volume in your hair. 4) Curl your hair in small sections! I find that when I take smaller chunks to curl, the curls stay much longer because they become much fuller. Yes, this takes some time, but it is totally worth it. Perhaps listening to music or watching a YouTube video might make the process less tedious and more relaxing. 5) When you are sitting in your car, at work or at school, keep your curls in front of you. This stops you from leaning on your curls and prevents them from flattening. I hope these tips help you the next time you curl your hair! I would love to hear what you do to keep your curls intact, leave a comment if you'd like to share your secrets. Dibs out ✌
Floral prints is making a huge come back this Spring! This trend has been seen everywhere, from fashion runways to retail stores. Some of my favourite floral prints are from the Alexander McQueen Spring 2016 ready-to-wear collection. I absolutely love the English roses that are used in the floral print! I believe this collection has strongly influenced floral prints that are seen in stores this Spring. Including the floral tank top that I am wearing in the photos above. As well, this collection also has a Victorian feel to it which has influenced some of the pieces you see in stores today. So, if you like the Alexander McQueen Spring 2016 collection as much as I do, all you have to do is walk into your favourite retail store and you will find similar looks! If you want to know where the pieces in my outfit are from, check out the links below. Floral tank - Forever 21 Black High Waisted Jeans - Forever 21 Beige Cardigan - Brandy Melville Dibs out ✌

This Spring there are two trends that have been brought back from the 90s. The first trend is the 90s staple choker necklace! This accessory has been worn by so many celebrities. Models like Gigi Hadid and actresses like Bella Thorne are totally rocking this trend. This accessory can turn a simple outfit into a fashion forward edgy look. I absolutely love this trend and could not wait to get my own choker necklace. The knotted shirt is the second trend that is back from the 90s. Having a front-knot at the bottom of your shirt creates a very retro look and is perfect for casual outfits. To achieve this look, you simply take a shirt you already own, leave a couple of buttons open at the bottom and tie a knot. However, you can also buy a shirt that already has a knot, like mine. I got both of these pieces from Forever 21, however you can find this trend at any of your favourite retail stores. Let me know in the comment section below where you bought yours from! Dibs out ✌
