Where the CX really stood out however, and made a true leap forward, was in the area of packaging and aerodynamic styling. The CX would ultimately have a Coefficient of Drag of 0.29 (lower is better) when the typical American cars of the time would be in the range of 0.45-0.50. Indeed, its moniker “CX” is the French acronym for coefficient of air resistance.

Saw this amazing Highboy on Go With Solo immediately did a little bit of digging to pull up a few more photos. It's awesome, and different, to see a clean 32 riding this close to the ground . Normally they are a little higher or have more going on overall but this car just gets straight to the point without unnecessary frills. It's built by Michael Moal of Moal coachbuilders and I am pretty sure it's sitting on their new Moal 32 T-bar Chassis which uses indy inspired suspension so it's sure to handle just as well as it looks.

There seems to be a lot of chatter these days about cars being over restored...or original cars that should not have been restored at all. I'd like to present five cars from the Fountainhead Antique Auto Museum that have not been restored. The Fountainhead Museum is a living museum. In that the cars actually run with a few exceptions. The Stevens - Duryea runs but is rather delicate and is not "exercised" as the others. The Dodge is a Fairbanks car and was used to haul passengers between Fairbanks and Valdez. Recently the Dodge made te trip to Valdez after being recommissioned after a lengthy slumber. The Hudson is the oldest known running Hudson.Image #1 1904 Stevens-Duryea Model L RunaboutImage #2 1908 Brush Model BC RunaboutImage #3 Hudson Model 20 Open RunaboutImage #4 Schacht Model R RunaboutImage #5 Dodge 30-35 Touring

This is the tiny Norman Church dedicated to Saint Nicholas in Nottinghamshire. The bulk of the Grade I listed building's masonry is a hard and durable limestone but incorporated into the walls are small pieces of roman brick and tile. The original entrance to the church was at the west end of the south wall, this was filled in and replaced with a window in the restoration of 1832 when most of the original Norman windows were redesigned and the brick vestry built on the north side. The building was further restored in 1900 when most of the interior furniture and the roof was replaced. Electric lighting was installed in 1976. In 1832 the interior walls were encased in plaster and wooden raredos erected behind the alter, all of these were fortunately removed in the restoration of 1900. The Western Archway is of medieval origin. The stained glass window that depicts the winged seraph of Isaiah was installed in 1900 when the brick vestry was rebuilt. The two bells in the turret are of special interest being the oldest bells in Nottinghamshire. The one on the left is dated 1200 and bears the Latin inscription "Sancta Maria" the one on the right is dated 1350 and is inscribed "Ave Maria" - the Sanctus and Angelus bells of the middle ages. The bells were probably cast in Nottingham and were last re-hung in with new headstocks and clappers in 1934. Taken using a Praktica MTL5B camera See where this picture was taken. [?]
