We took a quick trip to Charlotte, NC for the Celine Dion concert. See where we ate and what we did for fun on our visit!
The Details The Avery is known to be a bit dramatic – but we wouldn't have it any other way. With a flattering high rise, double pleats, and a fluid leg, *this* is the pant to know (and wear!) this season. More

Hello friends, Katie here with a card to share featuring the adorable Luau Party clear stamps. First I stamped the images and colored them with Copic Markers. Once everything was colored in, I cut the stamped images using the coordinating Elle-ments dies. For the background, I blended Peacock Feathers and Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide inks onto a panel of Ranger Heavystock. I spattered the panel with water and blotted the water droplets with a paper towel to create the ink-lift effect. After I adhered the images in place, I stamped the movement lines near the hula dancers, music notes and sentiment with black ink. I used a white gel pen to add some details to the flowers and highlights to the stamped images. This set makes for such a fun party scene. I will definitely be reaching for it time and again! A simple vest in Loft adds a light layer of warmth and texture to your fall wardrobe. Worked in moss stitch with delicate welt details at the edges and shoulders, Sauvie features a shallow V-neck and a slightly cropped high-hip length, perfect for pulling over buttondowns. The vest is worked flat from the bottom up with increases to create a gentle angle that results in a small wing of “sleeve” fabric flaring from the shoulder for an interesting silhouette. We knit Sauvie in a versatile pale neutral ( Fossil ), but it’s equally handsome in a dark shade like Artifact or Pumpernickel . Construction The front and back are worked flat from the bottom up. The top edgings are picked up and worked flat. The shoulders are bound off together using the Joinery Bind Off, the side seams are sewn, and then the armhole edgings are picked up and worked circularly. Waterhouse’s dramatic, dolman silhouette makes for a versatile styling item. The deep armholes accommodate wide, three-quarter length sleeves, and the A-line silhouette is flattering on many body types. The pretty lace motifs that adorn the fabric are anchored with a more utilitarian treatment of the hems, cuffs and epaulets (worked in garter stitch). The relaxed, swingy nature of this garment makes it both stylish and wearable. #sizeinclusive CONSTRUCTION Garment is worked flat in pieces, from the bottom up, then seamed. Hello! Amy here with a card for a new baby.......with an adorable sentiment! To start, a strip of cardstock was die cut using the Slimline Borders Elle-ments cloud. This was used to create an ink blended sky using Salvaged Patina Distress Ink leaving the bottom portion white. The stork image, from Brand New Baby, was Copic colored and die cut. (layered several times for dimension) The cloud panel was made using the stitched rectangle from Easy Layers 1 Elle-ments. I love this simple decorative edge! The sentiment fit perfectly and was stamped onto the curved banner from Easy Layers 1 Elle-ments. To finish, various hearts from the set were stamped with some having Stickles added for some shine. This lightweight pullover features a simple but beautiful texture pattern, created with tuck-stitch columns arranged over a reverse stockinette background. The wide ribbed hem and cuffs align with the columnar motif, as well as the garter stitch neckband which maintains the unbroken line of stitches as it is worked. This lapped-front turtleneck pullover in Shaker rib effortlessly blends comfort and simple style. The boxy silhouette is offset by the inverted V of the open fronts, which grow gradually through decorative increases within the rib structure until they cross over the heart. Modified drop sleeves complete the roomy fit. The Shaker rib is crisply defined in Arbor and creates a fabric with drape and movement. Tubular edge treatments ensure elasticity and durability in the single-rib cuffs, hem, and turtleneck band. Construction The garment pieces are worked flat from the bottom up. The collar is picked up around the neck edge, picking up through both layers where the fronts overlap.
