Jubileumsutstillingen var delt inn i fire hovedavdelinger: en for fiskeri, kval- og ishavsfangst, en for industri, håndverk og husflid, en for landbruk, og en for turistvarer med antikviteter og samisk husflid. Utstillinga var et møte mellom gammelt og nytt, mellom tradisjonelt håndverk og industrielle nyvinninger. Kanskje spesielt sistnevnte, for her var stabler med hermetikkbokser, blikktønner og bølgedempere, slåmaskiner, amerikanske angler og kassaapparater av nikkel, for ikke å snakke om velocipeden.
