Read My Mind / The Artikal by Zero T & Myth, released 28 January 2022 1. Read My Mind 2. The Artikal When old and new come together, it often yields both special and spectacular results. And next up on CIA, we’re very glad to welcome back veteran Irish producer Zero T, alongside the young yet mature Cheddar new blood, Myth. Now, we’re not calling Zero T old, but he does have no hair. Not that those in glass houses should throw stones, right! But anyway, Myth is obviously the new in this combination, and he does have a rather full head of hair. Make of it what you will. The important thing hair though, is that these two excellent and prolific producers come together for another pair of tracks and the beautiful man magic they conjure up together certainly continues to flow. Both producers’ flair is evident in the music, ‘Read My Mind’ a soulful yet tough bouncy roller, ‘The Artikal’ bringing that bass weight we would of course expect. It’s essentially the perfect CIA 12’ and so we’re looking forward to get this one out to you all very soon. Enjoy!

Blacklist by Quartz, released 17 April 2023 1. Blacklist 2. Notice The Reverse 3. Beat Down Babylon 4. Moving With Time (ft. Vanity Jay) 5. Hyper Mantis [Digital Bonus] 6. Cold Sun [Digital Bonus] Elliot Garvey aka Quartz lands on Metalheadz Platinum for the first time with a bumper 6 piece offering titled the 'Blacklist EP'. Each track sets out to showcase a different element of Quartz's now distinctive sound, from the crunchy mid-range of ‘Blacklist’ to the ingenious edits of 'Beat Down Babylon', not forgetting the astutely effective use of vocals on 'Moving With Time', provided by fellow Welsh talent Vanity Jay. In many places, this release follows on from where 2021's 'Coercion EP' left off; another impressive result from an immensely proficient producer who has now built himself into a fundamental part of Metalheadz's future.

Touchy Subject - Bloodmoon The Medallion Sounds mothership launched last year with releases from Touchy Subject and Tehbis – and this year they are getting serious and sitting up straight at the table. The label’s first compilation of 16 tracks is more than just a musical journey. Utilising years of art experimentation, the Medallion crew has created a 6 minute visual feast which combines 16 different mini-videos to accompany the compilation. Hugely ambitious and never attempted before – it’s clear to see the team have been beavering away on this project for some time. It’s an eye bath for your peepers while you let the sounds lap at your ear holes. So grab your trust issue tissues and get emotional. The compilation comprises a wide selection of moods - some are clearly more aimed at the dancefloor, others sleeping in on a lazy Saturday morning.
