Laser Cut Lamp shade - 'Baneberry' Here we have our 'Baneberry' wooden lamp shade, designed and made in house here at Woodpecker CNC & Laser. These are laser cut from 6mm real wood veneer in your choice of either Oak, Walnut, Ash or Beech (pictures show the Oak veneer). They are then hand sanded to ensure they are smooth and checked for fitment before being packaged ready for assembly when delivered. They simply clip together without any glue before being installed onto your lighting pendant. These have a 42mm centre hole designed to fit directly to the more common E27 style light pendant, however these can be made to fit the smaller B22 style fitting (29mm Hole) with a simple adapter ring. Just simply add the adapter ring to your order in the drop down menu and we will include one with your lampshade. Shipping to the UK is included in the price (please contact us for a quote for international shipping) * Bulb and light fitting not included If you have any questions please feel free to contact us.
Here I am offering Seeds from Actaea pachypoda, also known as White Baneberry, White Cohosh, and White Dolls Eyes. This interesting plant has flowers that are delicate white cloudy pillows, but the berries are the ones that really steal the show with the black pupil on the white berry. These berries look like dolls eyes and they are on display until the first frost. These plants grow to about 3 feet tall and like to live in full shade or at least partial shade. The white flowers bloom from the middle of Spring until early Summer. This fragrant flower is popular with the bees, and butterflies. It is also deer resistant. USDA Hardiness Zones 4 to 9
There have been dramatic changes in the landscape this week. The soybeans have suddenly turned the countryside golden and the green corn is beginning to brown. Plus it has been one of the wettest weekends ever recorded here. Autumn atmosphere has arrived. In the depths of the forest behind the house the dripping canopy of trees look dark and mysterious. The soaking black trunks and stumps are sprouting some of the most amazing forms. Greg spends lots of time pouring over the mushroom guides, as he is anxious to harvest some for our dinner. But so far, it is hard to determine the good from the bad! But design wise they all look fine. These Baneberries look like an "eyeball" plant. Love it! So I guess you can see where my inspiration comes from. There is so much LIFE, even here in the "ordinary" Midwest! And that is exactly what the Prairie Gothic fabric designs are all about. The insect world is a big part of the action, too, so they also have a starring role this season. This is a design I have been thinking about for years. It is one of the three designs (in all three colorways) being printed in home dec fabric. I'd like to recover the porch furniture with "bugs". In keeping with this mysterious theme, here is the Lace pattern, also in the Midnight color way. This is another design playing off Queen Ann's Lace, but from a different perspective this time. I think this would make awesome napkins or a table cloth. Hopefully, you are dreaming up some projects of your own, too!
Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? host Jeremy Clarkson has been spending lockdown on his farm in The Cotswolds, living in the barn while his house is being built. Back in 2016, Jeremy’s work colleagues destroyed and demolished his home. No this wasn’t some horrible culmination of sordid office politics, or a jealous rival seeking to sabotage, but instead apart [...]

Perfect for shade gardens, Actaea rubra (Red Baneberry) is herbaceous perennial forming bushy clumps of finely divided, bright green foliage, enhanced by clusters of small fluffy white flowers in late spring and early summer. Borne on conspicuous red stems which rise above the foliage, they give way to pea-sized glossy scarlet berries in summer. Because of its attractive foliage, flowers, and bright red berries, Red Baneberry is an excellent selection for cool shade gardens.
This 3-foot-tall and 2-foot-wide clumping perennial displays spiky racemes of white flowers in late spring and early summer followed by bright white berries with dark tips on bright red stalks.
