North America's largest heron floats through a veil of fog at the Florida Everglades National Park. With a wingspan of about 6 feet, it's a formidable sight when flying nearby, as this bird did. Although this bird is flying a short distance with its neck outstretched, blue herons have specially shaped vertebra that allow them to curl their necks into an "S" shape. This provides them with a more aerodynamic profile for flying long distances and is very useful for striking a prey when they hunt. Despite their formidable size, blue herons only weigh about 5 or 6 pounds. Perhaps I need to go on their diet plan? #iLoveNature #iLoveWildlife #WildlifePhotography in #Florida #Nature in #NorthAmerica #America #USA #DrDADBooks #Canon #FloridaEvergladesNationalPark #FindYourPark #FYPyes #WildlifeConservation

From writer/director/producer Gurinder Chadha (“Bend It Like Beckham”) comes the drama “Blinded by the Light,” set to the inspiring music and lyrics of Bruce Springsteen’s timeless songs.
I found this gal hanging on the fire bush this morning. She has hung there all day and doesn't seem interested in flying away. She let me pick her up. She is the Blinded Sphinx Moth, Paonias excaecatus. Thanks to Texas Eagle for the ID. bugguide.net/node/view/4481
A striking digital portrait of a woman with a $100 bill covering her eyes, symbolizing the concept of being blinded by money. Her poised expression, along with the bold contrast of the green bill against her fair skin and blonde waves, creates a powerful visual statement on materialism and the allure of wealth. The dark background emphasizes the message, giving the artwork an edgy, modern feel.
People who suffer from visual snow syndrome see tiny fuzzy dots in constant motion, like a badly tuned TV set. Professors in Monash believe the condition stems from a disorder in the way the brains of people with visual snow integrate visual information.
