This is the smallest amount of empties ever I think! Stuff I used up on holiday I just threw out there rather than bring them home with me. I'm not going to use anymore this month so here goes - Giorgio Armani Maestro Fusion Make Up SPF15 shade 4 - I love this foundation and will buy again at some point. It is expensive but it lasts me around 6 months making it great value. Abahna Frangipani & Orange Blossom Bath & Shower Gel 100ml - this is my favourite Abahna scent. See my review here. Will pick up again at some point. Blue Labelle Body Oil with Ylang Ylang & Frankincense 100ml - I love this body oil and already have another one in my stash. See my review here. Tom Ford Santal Blush EDP 50ml - I had a teeny tiny bit of this left in the bottle which I was saving. Upon buying a new bottle in Jersey I just used it up! My favourite Tom Ford scent ever - see my review here. I'm now on my third bottle and know I'll re-purchase. Expensive but so worth it! Skin & Tonic Steam Clean 15ml - I just love this minty cleansing balm - it's my favourite cleanser this year. Already have a few in my stash but one I'll definitely re-purchase. Mel Millis Phytonutri Qi Enriching Sea Plant Jelly 15ml* - I loved this. See my review here. de Mamiel Summer Facial Oil 20ml - so sad to have finished this as I loved it. See my review here. I pre-ordered the Autumn blend before my spending ban kicked in. I'm finding I just can't be without these oils. I also loved the version for Spring. bodhi & birch Mint The & Jasmine Falls Bath & Shower Therapy both 50ml - I took these on holiday and the two mini bottles were more than enough for a week. What can I say I love these two scents and keep buying them! LJ's Organic Purity Rose Body Oil 50ml - another new product this year which I love. See my review here. Just cracked open a new bottle. Ten easy ways to give your body a little less to deal with.
I recently treated myself to Blue Labelle's latest launch - Rhassoul Lava Clay Powder with spoon and bamboo brush. I picked it up on special offer but it currently costs a reasonable £19. The Rhassoul Lava Clay Powder (200g) is hand dug from caves at the foot of the Atlas Mountains in Morocco. It has a superior mineral content with magnesium and silica which are great for glowing and healthy skin. You can use the mud as a face scrub, a mask and to clean body and hair. To use: using the spoon add one flat scoop of clay powder to a ceramic bowl. Place on top 1.5 spoon of water, covering the powder. Leave to activate for five minutes. On your return the clay should have a consistency of a thick mousse. Mask: steam face and then apply the activated paste to your skin using the bamboo brush (this is a real luxe treat!) in a thick layer. It should feel cooling and refreshing. Sit back and relax. When you feel the mask beginning to dry remove with warm water and a cloth and follow with a facial oil to seal in the benefits of the treatment. You can also use a floral hydrosol instead of water when making the paste. A few drops of a facial oil can also be added. I did take a pic but I looked too awful for words! Face Scrub: apply the activated clay paste with the brush or your fingers and massage gently over the face and neck (avoiding eye area). This will slough off dead skin cells and draw out toxins leaving the skin radiant and renewed. Remove with warm water. Hair Wash/Mask: make a thinner paste and apply to damp hair massaging for a few minutes before combing through and rinsing. The clay absorbs dirt and oil from the hair while replenishing it with minerals. Spot Treatment: dab a little activated clay to your spot to draw out toxins and heal. A 200g jar should make 40 face masks. A treatment will take around 30 minutes. I've been really impressed with the performance of the clay powder and love that it's multi-purpose. What's your favourite face mask?
I’m somewhat new to the oil cleansing method, but lemme tell ya, I back it 110%! At first, I was like, “Hold up… I’m supposed to put oil on my face to clean the gunky oils that spew forth from mah pores? Huh!? Won’t that make me break out like craaaazy??” Turns out, specific oil blends actually... Read More >>

Around this time last year, I first discovered Blue Labelle, a 100% vegan beauty brand based in the U.K. They make some of the most luxurious and exquisite all-natural skincare goodies evah. Seriously, it wasn’t until I tried their Petitgrain & Tamanu Cleansing Oil cleansing oil [somewhat reluctantly because oil cleansing sounded so counter-intuitive] that I became HOOKED on the OCM... I love writing up Christmas Gift Guides because I like to sway friends and family to file the Boots catalogue in the bin and go Green. Swap out those horrible mainstream brands for some beautiful artisan products which show you not only care for your love ones but also for the world around us. Aromatherapy Inspiration You all know I'm a huge fan of Bloom Remedies. I cannot be parted with my Serenity Slumber Pillow Mist so imagine my delight when I learnt new for Christmas is the Serenity Slumber Luxury Candle. Marie is also launching The Peaceful Mind Range, perfect for those with over active minds, who struggle to relax and unwind. Look out for the Peaceful Mind set which contains a pulse point roll on and bath oil. In addition there also a Luxury Candle in this scent. Last year I did the majority of my Christmas shopping from Bloom Remedies, they have the best gifts sets so go check them out. Fragrant Stocking Fillers If you are looking for unique stocking fillers then turn your attention to Natural Wisdom. They have launched a range of natural, alcohol-free solid perfumes (£12.50 each), which can be worn to scent your skin or hair and also used as a room fragrance with the lid off. Alternatively, take a look at the new Plump & Nourish lip balm (£10 each), which comes in a beautifully tactile reusable cedar wood pot. Ingredients include peppermint, chilli pepper and cinnamon oils, which help naturally plump the lips. Learn a new skill Ruth Romano runs regular soap making courses in Cheshire alongside selling her award-winning range of soap and natural skincare products. If you know someone who enjoys getting creative and learning new skills then you could buy a Gift Voucher to spend a day getting creative and take a lovely selection box of soap home with them. Bath time Soapy Delights Based in a little barn at the foot of the Sugar Loaf mountain in Wales, The Sugar Loaf Soap Company has a very simple mission, to provide natural, handmade soaps produced from high quality, ethically sourced raw materials. They offer a delightful range of products and gift sets. Luxury Candles I adore Petits Rituels’ candles they would make a beautiful gift but if you’re looking for something on a smaller scale the hand-poured wax melts are highly fragranced with an intricate floral design. Simply place in a warmer and light an unscented tea light, as the wax melts the fragrance is released. Also ideal for lining your clothes and linen draws. Not only does MBotanicals* have a range face and body care they also have some lovely candles. You can choose from Vanilla Bean, Citrus Basil, Gardenia, Rose Oudh, Sandalwood and Tobacco. Festive Nails Little Ondine’s Limited Edition Winter Wonderland Collection is the perfect way to get you in the holiday mood. There’s no better time of year for sparkles and with this no-fuss glitter polish you can change your look with ease while you’re on the go from office to family gatherings to all your festive celebrations. The beautifully packaged collection makes a stylish stocking stuffer, secret santa or last-minute gift or even a self-indulgent treat. Beauty Gift Bags LJ’s Natural has gift sets which cover all budgets. The Ultimate Luxury Gift Bag contains OMG Serum, Luxury Organic Bath Melts, White Chocolate & Tangerine Organic Lip Balm and Soothing Hand & Foot Formula. Alternatively, I love the festive name “Three Wise Bottles” a set that contains 30ml bottles of Calming Organic Body Lotion, Muscle Relax Organic Body Oil & Balancing Organic Toner. Also check out Stocking Filler Bag, Indulge My Face Gift Bag, Relax Gift Bag and Really Radiant Face Gift Bag. Eco-Friendly Beauty Treats You all know I'm a fan of Konjac Sponges and I am excited to see they have added to their product line. The Angel Cloth is an alternative to a muslin cloth, an intriguing product which would make a unique gift. If you like the facial puff sponges there are two new additions Chamomile and Green Tea. For those who use cotton pads how about a more eco-friendly alternative, the Konjac eye pads. The kit contains 8 cleansing pads, a mesh drying bag and a soft clear pouch. This pack can last up to one year. Vegan Friendly Blue Labelle are one of my favourite Vegan brands. This year they are offering gift cards which is handy if you are unsure what products to buy. Also there is free gift wrapping and gift bag on all website orders over £10 from Nov 15th, just mention in the comments box if you would like it. Blue Labelle will also be launching 100% organic vegan balm sticks and although primarily to be used as lip balms they can also be used to nourish very dry skin, for example on elbows. The idea of this article is to re-cap on four years of products testing, a daunting task when it comes to cleansers as I did not realise how many I have reviewed. Of course I have my favourites and have repeat purchased a number over the years. If you follow my YouTube channel you'll know which ones these are. Which type of cleanser I enjoy really all depends on my mood, time of year and how my skin is behaving. Oil Cleansers My favourite has to be Handmade Naturals Cleansing Oil, closely followed by Blue Labelle Cleansing Oil for Dry & Sensitive Skin, I have lost count of how many time I have bought these two. The Balm Balm Coconut Cleanser is a winner for simplicity and price. Also check out Natural Wisdom Oil Gel Cleanser, The Earth Works (TEWC) fragrance free oil cleanser and Gerlinde Naturals. Balm Cleansers Would it be bad if I said I am not sure I have a holy grail balm cleanser. For me they are all fantastic and I can never decide between them. Top of my list is probably my recent rediscovery of Evolve Gentle Cleansing Melt. I think Lulu & Boo and Suti have sentimental value to me because they are two of my earliest reviews. The Beauty Balm from Lyonsleaf is a great multi purpose product and since I was the first to bring this brand to the green community I am proud to see how much they have grown. The Rose Tree Carrot & Mango Cleansing balm is another firm favourite. If you like raw ingredient skincare then Gaia Creams is the brand for you. Other balms to look at include Circaroma, LJ's Natural Solutions, Inlight and Kris D'Amour. Sadly, I think 100% Organics are no longer in business. Cream Cleansers Out of all the cream cleanser I have tried there are three that I buy often, they are Odylique Creamy Coconut Cleanser, Antipodes Grace and Pai Camellia & Rose Gentle Hydrating Cleanser. Other reviews lurking in the archives are Green People Sensitive Cleanser, Trilogy Very Gentle Cleansing Cream, Sukin Sensitive Cleansing Lotion, Antipodes Hallelujah Cleanser, Nourish Relax Cleanser, Natural Being Manuka Creamy Cleanser and Green Keratin Rejuvenating Facial Cleanser Face Wash As my skin type is dry and eczema prone I do not opt to use facial washes but I do have a review for Conscious Skincare Gentle Face Wash. If you like using washes then make sure it is free from sulphates (SLS/SLES) to insure it doesn't strip your skin of moisture. If you are looking for a new facial oil then check out my round up post of 14 brands click here. Sarah x The links in this post are for my reviews of the brands mentioned.
I tend to use body oils the most during winter months. These are my current favourites: inner-soul organics Romance Me Skin Oil 100ml* - this rose and jasmine scented body oil is gorgeous. See my review here. Blue Labelle Body Oil with Ylang Ylang & Frankincense 100ml - I just adore this body oil. See my review here. Indie Lee Vanilla Citrus Moisturising Oil 4oz* - an easily absorbed oil which you can also use on your face and hair. See my review here. Marble & Milkweed Nourishing Body Oil 2oz* - quite simply a body oil I always want to have in my stash. I love everything about it - simple packaging, luxury feel on the skin and easily absorbed as well as having the most amazing rosey cardamon scent. See my review here. My final body oil is from The Naked Skincare Company which I received in December's Souk Souk Beauty Box. This lush oil is scented with Ylang Ylang and Sandalwood and is perfect to use before bed. Stuffed full of moisturising and nourishing oils it has firmly placed itself as one of my all time favourite body oils. Are you a body oil fan? What's your favourite? *PR samples

Un must have. I'm not going to use up any more products this month so here's what I've used up in October: Weleda Arnica Muscle Soak 200ml* and Weleda Arnica Sports Shower Gel 200ml* - I found these really lovely to use and especially loved the Muscle Soak. See my review HERE. Know I'll keep on buying the muscle soak as it's my favourite bath product this year. Odylique Lemon Butter Hand Smoothie 60ml* - this was one of the nicest hand creams I've ever used. Will definitely buy (or drop hints for a new one) soon! See my review HERE. Estelle & Thild Sweet Vanilla Blossom Body Oil 100ml - huge body oil fan and this sweet slightly chocolate/orange scented oil was beautiful. A definite re-purchase when I eventually run out of body oil (not anytime soon!) Bodhi & Birch Ylang Ylang Incensa Bath & Shower Therapy 200ml - I'm a huge fan of their bath & shower gels and will pick this scent up again. See my review HERE. 2 x Olverum Bath Oil Sachets* - these were really lovely to use and I'll definitely buy full size at some point. I've already spotted it in Harvey Nichols. See my review HERE. Senspa Himalayan Bath Salts with Essential oils of rose, lavender and cedarwood 500g - I picked these up on offer at Waitrose. Nice to use and I'll pick up again if they are on offer. Yarok Feed your Moisture 4oz* - loved this deeply nourishing hair mask. See my review HERE. Will definitely consider buying once I reduce my stash of deep conditioners. Flo+Theo Lavender Flowers Body Butter (sample pot)* - this body butter was nice to use. See my review HERE. Unlikely to buy as it came in a Petit Vour box from the US. I'd be scared of being hit with custom charges! Botanicals Orange Blossom Body Balm (trial size pot)* - I loved this body balm. The scent was gorgeous and it melted onto the skin leaving it deeply nourished. Full size is on the wishlist. See my review HERE. 001 Rosa Damascena Essence Mist 30ml* - a real luxe toner which was gorgeous to use and a real treat. Perfect for misting over the skin throughout the day as well as using as a toner. Probably wouldn't buy it as it is expensive but loved trying it. Blue Labelle Hand Oil 10ml - sad to finish this one also! See my review HERE. Will definitely be a re-purchase at some point. Evolve Hyaluronic Serum 10ml - I absolutely loved this. See my review HERE. Would definitely consider purchasing once my stash goes down. The Organic Pharmacy Rose Facial Cleansing Gel 10ml - I loved this! See my review HERE.
