This Small Anemone Vase is hand blown glass, inspired by the patterns and movements of the ocean. It is comprised of amethyst and cobalt murrine that create a magnifying effect in which the pattern undulates when viewed. The neck of the vase is widened and spun to make the mouth of the vase undulate. Set it near a window and watch as sunlight streaming through makes this vase even more beautiful. It is an original work of art. Check out the video! It measures about 8" in height and 6" in diameter. The pattern in this blown glass vase is achieved by cutting small glass rods and tiles, called murrine, and arranging them in a pattern, then fusing them together in a 2100 degree kiln. A blow pipe is then rolled along the edge of the glass to form a cylinder. The bottom of the cylinder is closed, which creates a bubble, allowing the glass to then be blown and shaped into the vase. Made to order. Please allow 2-3 weeks to recreate this beautiful vase.

Though glass has this brittle quality that makes it shatter on being dropped or getting scratched when handled roughly, there is no denying that it is beautiful. That is why many artists have dabbled with it and created various works of art in different forms. You just have to look at the stained glass works of art to know that there is no denying the beauty of glass and the way it is a good medium for an artists’ imagination. That is why even today you will come across avid collectors of exquisitely delicate glass sculptures that seduce you to buy them with their gleam and glow. You may have watched many a documentary on the amazing art works created by blowing glass. Though dangerous and difficult, this process does keep you hypnotized at the way the artist melts what is essentially sand to create such works of art.
'Eurydice III ' - Christophe Charbonnel Conversation Art pieces This is the second installment on art for conversation. All good art is worthy of conversation and aside from decoration or investment, collectors are drawn to art for this reason. Provocative and grotesque art can be chosen for this purpose too, even if it solicits a derisive reaction. Desirable collections ideally stimulate intrigue and discourse. Art pieces of charm that capture a second glance. With an extra mention to the visionary, expressive, quirky, audacious, dark, light, original, riveting and subtle. This pretty much covers all bases, so if there is still
