Kornelkirsche (Cornus mas)

Narcissists are some of the most arrogant, egotistical, and vane human beings that you could ever meet on the planet. The story goes that Narcissus was a very stunning person with his looks, charm, as well as his own admiration for himself. He was so in love with himself that he attracted the ire of a goddess claimed to be Nemesis, goddess of vengeance against beings who were consumed by their own arrogance.Essentially, she made him fall in love with a reflection of his own image until he died from staring at himself for his entire life. These kinds of people have a very cruel intent when it comes to being social with others. They often times find ways to make people appreciate their beauty and charm enough for them to manipulate you at every single turn they can get.Soon realizing that they no longer want this kind of attention from these people, they will then go off to find it somewhere else. Here are some methods you can try when confronting a narcissist.1. Like To Rush Bad IdeasNarcissists like to rush people into committing to really terrible ideas. Do not allow them to pressure you into saying yes to something that you are not entirely comfortable with.Slow them down, make them talk to you first about the idea, and then come up with a solution that both of you will enjoy. If there is no pleasing this person and that everything else you have tried doesn't work, then you can always say no to this person and walk away.2. Do Not Be Afraid To Say NoNarcissists like to use your fear against you in any possible way they can. They will find whatever it is you're afraid of and force it in front of your face. It is important that you must face these fears down, do not let them have this kind of control over you, and tell them that you are not afraid of them.Standing up for yourself is something that narcissists are not prepared for since they were hoping to break your spirit in order to get what they want from you. Again, you can always tell them no or that this isn't going to work.3. Let Go Of Your Past MistakesNarcissists love to bring up things that happened a long time ago in order for you to feel extremely bad about yourself once more. It is important that you recognize that you are only human and that every single person on the planet makes mistakes in their lives.Forgive yourself of these previous mistakes, do not let them control this piece of you that you have been working so hard to get over, and do not let these mistakes loom over you as if they just happened yesterday. They will take advantage of your emotions any chance they can get.4. Stand Up For What You FeelA narcissistic person will try to tell you what your life is like, how you feel, and what your life is going to look like because of all your mistakes as well as emotions.Do not let a person try to claim the way it is you feel because this is simply not true. The only person who really knows exactly the way you feel is yourself.Stand up for the way you feel about yourself, tell them that you are not damaged in anyway shape or form, and that they have no right trying to belittle your emotions.5. Constant Let-DownsNarcissists love to make a lot of broken promises to people. They say that they promise to do these certain things for others and when it comes to the truth they never deliver what they say they are going to dish out.The reason as to why they do this is so that you keep believing in them that they will give you what you want. However, this is never the case and that they would never actually give you what you want simply because it's not benefiting them or their world. The next time they try to promise something just say that you will only believe it when you actually get to see it.6. Topic ChangerNarcissistic people love to change the topic when they feel as if they are being attacked by someone. When they are getting called out on all of the things they have done wrong they will do everything in their power to try and change the subject in hopes that you will forget the problem entirely.Tell them that you do not want to talk about anything else and that you would rather deal with these problems as soon as they happen instead of beating around the bush for the next couple of weeks.7. Always Feel Free To Say NoThe most important thing to remember when you are dealing with a narcissistic person is that you can always say no to anything they want from you that makes you feel uncomfortable. If there is something that this person is really wanting you to do but you really don't want to do it, just say no. This will save you so much time and stress that you will feel so much better that you said no in the first place.Hopefully this has helped you deal with any kind of problems that you have been experiencing with narcissistic people. Are you still searching for your life purpose?
